if you create a new layer, you can still do the same paint effect and you CAN do the eye white and skin, because it can be erased if you create a new layer before selecting.....
Something seems to be wrong with my Gimp. When I try to select Hue Saturation (or any of the Color options for that matter) Nothing shows up. All it says is 'This tool has no options." Help? :[
Very helpful. Thank you! I like the large print, easy to follow text directions before you do something and then you don't do extra steps without telling what you are doing. This is great! Do more.
that has happened to me before... sometimes its just a glitch where the eye doesn't show that you're changing the color while you're choosing the settings and then it will show the color change when you click ok. however sometimes thats not the case. make sure you are selecting the eye on the background layer.
yeah, thats what the second method is for. but the first method is for changing someones eye color for fun. and i apologize about the font!! :-/ i will use a different font in my next tutorials.
Thanks!! This helped a lot!!

Your second method produced a more believable color. I had trouble reading the font in your instructions, though.
