  • how? actually its pretty easy. the tip is they are all on top

  • how? please magician gods tell me how?

  • I actually Clapped like the audience.

  • I am not one for superlatives generally, but this guy is, SUPERB... Such a hard-worked talent... Believe me, this is the result of incredible dedication... An Artist...

  • he's amazing. the only thing i can ever notice that those "folks" in public are his friends, probably asistents :) they're showing in other videos as well :)

  • If there was any one of his tricks i wanted to learn, it would be the card-shooting flourish.

  • Anyone know what the control he uses on the selected cards in the beginning is called? I know he gathers them at the bottom of the deck and the rest of the cards he pushes over the top of the selections but what is it called?

  • is this the same dude who is in the magic episode of XFiles. His head twists backwards and then falls off, turns out it was his dead brother. Anyone know what im cracking on about?

  • @SIRSizzlebottom

    Yes he is.

He is also in a bunch of movies, like "House of Games", "Boogie Nights", "Heist" and a whole lot more stuff.

  • my God he is FANTASTIC

  • The product of not days, not weeks, not even years, but DECADES of practice.

  • @zombiemann penn and teller: fool us?

  • @ShayDog332 Yes but very appropriate here I think you'll find :)

  • @coreymcg1 This trick takes a lot of practice and demands great technical skills. It is not for beginners at all. You need to have a fairly good amount of card handling techniques down and then you can start to learn this trick. As far as I know, there is no DVD that teaches this trick(correct me if i am wrong). But if you are good with cards, you should be able to follow what is going on and go from there. A lot of his stuff is from Erdnase. It is a great book to read. Have fun and good luck.

  • at 3:15 when he makes the card rise you can clearly see his thumb moving it up.

  • @drumtillever24 yeah i dont think he intented for people to think that he made a card float out of knowwhere

  • When I first watched this video I had no clue whatsoever about ANYTHING. Now I can follow most of the things he's doing but still, the patter and personality are so cool. This moment at 4:04, "if you insist", is priceless.

  • Simple cut lol

  • i skipped my gcse revision to watch this for a day

  • conjure with poultry! GENIUS!

  • Respect !

  • This is INCREDIBLE!!!!

  • incredible!!!!!

  • who picked the cards up? lol

  • 12 people got scammed in a casino by him.

  • I've watched this video about 10 times now over the course of a few years and I'm still grinning like an idiot when he finishes his performance.

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU SKIPPED HOMEWORK AND WATCHED RICKY JAY ALL NIGHT :D

  • Learn the famous PAUL WOLSON DOUBLE LIFT WORKSHOP by visiting: doublelift.gu.ma and for other great magic tutorials by Professional Magicians visit : THEORY11.CZ.CC

  • awesome!

  • this guy is phenomenal

  • type 'he can turn a pack of cards into a turtle' into you tube

    it will amaze you

  • Truth is: it would probabily be easy enough to provide you with a tutorial...

Probelm is: if you were iterested enough, you wouldn't need to ask for one. In dong so, you show you're interested only in knowing how it's done and not in spending the time it would require to do such a "stunt".

As it has been said, these techniques take years to learn...

  • A tutorial for this, are you fucking kidding? These techniques will take years and years of practicing, and to set a performance like this, maybe a lifetime, so shut up with "I want a tutorial!!!", I'll never gonna give you one.

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn thts so sick! Tutorial pls!

  • 3:14... HOW. what is that rise called. fellow magicians please halp me out.

  • @ZacVrono the selected card is the top one. He places his thumb upon it and moves his thumb 90 degrees (you can actually see this), keeping it parrallell with the vertical edges of the card. then he moves his thumb back to its origional position, taking the card with it

  • B-A-D ASS rick jay is so awesome

  • Awsome I really need a tutorial 4 this

  • @Polishjazzman Muggle???? Is that a reference from harry potter, god, now who's the "moron" thats fiction, there are no real "Wizzards" god don't take all your insults out of a childrens book...... MORON

  • ricky jay is emense i love the cups and balls he does aswell!!!!!!!!!!

  • The best ever! :)

  • fake.

  • @aussersein this is real u stupid fucker, u know people like u really piss everyone off, if u have nothing constructive to say, which u clearly dont, then just go and fuck off.

  • Comment removed

  • @1305vishal it's fake you filthy orphan.

  • I have a loooong way to go XD

  • awesome trick

  • The man.. is a fucking.. genius!!

  • Second card looks like a 7 spade???

  • I guess hes making his children eat Vegteble with his magic :O

  • he is THE best magician I have ever seen. Every one of his tricks is flawless, and he has a really good sense of humour. Humour is important for a magician.

  • rofl eaaaasssy, he has the bottom of em set up and he is showing the ones he wants to show em XD

  • @0AFtershoCK0

No he does a control, a control that I use all the time.

  • Regardless of the so called "easiness" of the incorrect method given here, I highly doubt you would be able to perform at least half of the productions given here, particularly the one handed shuffle production.

  • i just know the lst production.

the rest of them i was like omfg.

  • Amazing trick. Love this guy.

As for the dude calling u a moron, don't worry about him. He's an e-thug and u don't wanna mess with those types of thugs. He's a badass o_O

  • Ricky joy got this trick from ozzy malini max malini's son

  • @Polishjazzman That's a pretty mean post. Why do you have to call me a "moron"? Couldn't you just have pointed out that fact without being rude?

  • @PrestyGomez coz hges clerly spent his entire wasted life following/stalking rickys life and is offended that someone had made a mistake about this guys life when he knows he knows more about rickys life than ricky actually knows.

    if that made any sense.

in other words, he is a faggot who has no life =)

  • @PrestyGomez

Agreed -- that was a very rude way to point out a simple error...

  • @PrestyGomez i know what you mean also, some people are just assholes. as proven by polishJIZZman

  • @PrestyGomez its youtube. nope!

  • @PrestyGomez He called you a muggle, he's obviously gay and retarded.

  • @PrestyGomez don't worry man, the world is ful of losers...Don't let this asswipe get ya down brother.

  • @PrestyGomez - No, because he's a fucking moron.

  • @PrestyGomez I noticed you still haven't edited the description to correect the fact =P

  • @Polishjazzman A mentor is a wise and trusted teacher, i assure you that most of my mentors have long since passed away, there is always something to learn from the dead. Especially in magic.

  • @Polishjazzman Really? You're going to be that insulting, and then reference something is infantile as Harry Potter?

  • @pxdnninja Still, it was nice as a pun... kinda laughed on that bit. Not as intended by him, maybe, but still being a bit of a clown adds a nice ring to any public demonstration of lack of intelligence.

  • @Polishjazzman "muggle?" Really?

What the hell is the matter with you?

    You're a fucking prick.

  • @Polishjazzman Vote the comment I'm replying to up

  • @Polishjazzman Troller get trolled!!! Ahahaha, id rather be a muggle than a 40 year old man boy living in his parents basement who fantasizes about Harry Potter. Lol

  • at :30 and at :48 they are the same card. lol

  • "lol" They are not. If you look carefully at the index, you can see one has an 8 and one has a 7. They are 2 different cards, not the same ones as you have asserted here.

  • ahh.. its sad that great magic like this has less views than something like a card trick tutorial from Mismag... Cherish great magic, dont let it die.

  • Easy

  • Tutorial?? Haha

  • omg i understand the basic principle for most of the finds, but WTF ON 3:15

    what is that move called

  • Ricky Jay is the master!!!

  • stripper deck?

  • Comment removed

  • This show he performs, what is it called?

    Best

    Kristian

  • @kristianthaulow Ricky Jay and His 52 Assistants. it was on youtube but it got taken off. theres just clips of it

  • "4:02 If You insist." Epic !! :DD

  • Simply the best.

  • Holy sh*tcake.

  • he manipulates reality xD

  • HIs mentor???? No. Jay even says in the first sentence Mallini did his stuff around the turn of the century.... Im sure Max was long dead by the time Ricky showed up

  • @kcg5000 his mentor was Dai Vernon

  • @peppermints666 Yes, I know. Someone said Mallini was his mentor.

  • 4:22

  • wow!!!great performance!!!

  • mis respetos para este hombre.

  • Amazing

  • AWeSOME!

  • 4:40 some guy "ho-o my god" loled at that dunno why :D

  • that was sick as fuckkkkkkkk

  • there's just one word for this... AWSOME

  • the HBO special "Ricky Jay and his 52 Assistants" which is an edited version of his first off-Broadway show

  • I love his performance, too.

There is another guy like him but he is talking so loud everytime he performes that i just hate him :D

  • quality trick finding about 10 card in all those ways was sweeeet

  • how do you do the move at 3:16 if anybody knows thank you.

  • @PaRsOnS178 The card is on the top of the deck, and he moves it with his thumb. You can see his thumb moving the card.

  • of the philippines my country

  • It's a great pattern and good trick. I know how it's done it's that much complicated, because I am into magic, but great for spectators.

  • He just put them all in the back on order and never shuffles the end when he shuffles that fast and wips them up with his thump! Real pro tough! 5 stars

  • @Laggejoh His thump? Really? What you are forgetting is that the audience is not there to see the trick so much as -how- the trick is performed- with his particular sleight of hand (or thump) and the flourish he puts on it, the way he makes it his own. The showmanship and stage presence is what maters to the audience.

  • Fucking funny as hell, and epic card tricks.

  • this is my fav magician :D

  • fuck

  • It´s just WOW !

  • Just wow! :O

  • What's the name of the move at 4:33?

  • The beginning is a one handed perfect (?) faro shuffle. I'm not sure about the cascade-esque follow-up though.

  • Does Ricky have the greatest patter or what? "Not required to conjure with poultry!" That's just hilarious. He's way more than just a guy who can minipulate cards. He manipulates minds.

  • thast is amazing

  • stumbled from maryland!

  • how does he fling the card out of a deck?

  • 3:53 the switch

  • i got into doing card magic n hv realised im real good i pick up real fast. i bought a dvd and learnt some basic sleights some hard ones n i was able to do the mafter watchn the video once. i kinda have a visual memory. but im writing coz i want some of you that are good n hv been doing this for a while to tell me which dvds i shud buy i wanna learn the real good stuff, close to what he is doing in this vid i love this ART !

  • uuuuuuh what happend ...

    hes soooo amazing o.O

  • that was beast

  • The very best

  • one word only - mastery

  • 3 words:

    WTF

  • Lmao that ending is brilliant ! beautiful

  • master piece of a legend.

  • How can he be so talented. omg

  • mizich18 i noticed that too but he is incredebly fast with the hands!

  • where can i learn this ? anyone know ?

  • yes, roberto giobbi cardschule, but it is many years of training

  • @yowerle Cardschule? You mean Giobbi's Card College books? If there is a multiple selection routine in there. It's not the one that Ricky performs here. It would be the same effect for the most part yes but not done in the same way that Ricky does it.

  • It's called sleight of hand and a hacked deck of cards

  • sleight of hand lol dude ive been doing card magic for a while i know its sleight of hand n tht isnt a hacked or gaff deck this man doesnt need tht kind of thing i highly doubt its a gimmick. i asked to learn how its done not tell me its sleight i know tht part lmao

  • @quirty1 There is no such thing as a hacked deck. Stacked yes hacked no. Plus it's not a stacked deck. There are many routines around that do the same thing as Ricky is performing here.

  • 3:51-3:54 he switches the cards up to the 4 of diamonds.

  • show from the bottom of the deck.

  • im from phils.. and im not quite sure that theres someone named gov. brown in here xD

    even in our history..lol.

  • 2:32, Arnold Swarzenegger?

  • @aj755account JAJAJAJAJAAJAJ!

  • @aj755account thats me

  • this man is a genious...

  • 80,000 view yay!

  • i know the trick, the main point is to know a lot of fancy shuffling and every card that he showed he puts on the back of the deck! watch carefully that every card that is ''the one'' shows at the end of the deck, he's just putting another way of displaying!!!

  • try do that ..lol!

  • crazy!

  • Thats amazing!!!

  • omg hax XD

  • its all about the control XD

  • this guys amazing, respect.

  • really amazing

  • at 3:13 spoonw125 he is just actuly moveing his thumb

  • he using the force at 3:13

    omg!!!

  • omg -_- .. 3:16 is and 4:03 are impossible :p .. how long did it took him to learn all these tricks ? hes just not normal ....

    He got my respect lol

  • great trick, and TBH i don't even want to know how he does it.

  • WHAT THE FUCK

  • Remind me not to play poker with this guy.

  • dont play poker with this guy

  • he is a master with the cards.

  • the 'simple cut' any tutorials for it????

  • 25 amazing card tricks by blackbox illusions. they have a website for it

  • Probably no published tutorials as of now. I'm sure it is one of Jay's own inventions.

  • hahahah he uses dia vernons card control in ths one, very nice skills.

  • That's a heaps good card trick

  • Comment removed

  • He must really pull the chicks!

  • umm... I'm not sure Ricky plays with the same deck, if you catch my drift.

  • LOL

  • It would really be a good trick for Ricky Jay to have "learned from his mentor, Max Malini", since Malini had been dead for six years when Ricky was born.

  • im not trying to reveal anything but he might be just folding the corner of the card when he goes to show it then just does diffrent reveals

  • The man kicks ass. Ricky Jay!

  • Thats amazing (:

  • .... :O

  • easy xD ( not )
