(answer: no) this tune rocks exactly as it should. none of the drummers of the seventies bands that you love beat the shit out of thier drums - not bonham, not moon, those awesome drummers were far more about finnesse than people seem to remember.

@dickravis I'm pretty sure bonham used to beat the shit out his 26" bass drum! lol. And Moon used to fuckin blow up his set with explosives lol. They were some of the hardest hitters AND had finesse about it(at times). Drums are perfect on this track though.

Yeah, I liked this one.  Great groove and the guitar tone is sweet. Vocals reminded me at times of James Dewar of Robin Trower's band from way back, overall two thumbs up!

Great band with a classic sound! It sounds like they've been around since the late 60s but they are new on the scene! I doubt few if any could pull off what Stone Axe does so well! Now all they need is Roger Dean to do their album cover art and they are set!!
