  • Cool timelapse. These maggots sometimes show up in my worm farm. I generally try to eradicate them because they can out compete the worms and unlike the worms, my fish won't eat them.

  • that was amazing.. hi, from an ecorenovator member. That was too icky for me to try tho LOL>

  • Fucking amazing!!!!!!...

    Pretty dirt though...

  • black soldier flies vs chuck norris

  • fuck. they're like a whole wave of worms lying beneath soil, and rising up when it senses food.

  • I WANT ONE

  • they like human feces...and you know this how? And are these in minutes?

  • @bnixisbest they like all types of fecal matter. Also, there's a time stamp at the bottom right.

  • I use a composting toilet and feed these guys every time someone takes a dump.

They consume an average turd in 30 min. Gone! They even eat the toilet paper if it has piss on it. They eat all table scraps, rotten meats, sour milk, anything organic and leave no smell. They kill off regular fly eggs so no flies. The Soldier fly is harmless with no mouth or stinger thus does not spread disease or bite.

  • dude i just barfed

  • I love how the dirl has phycadelic movements XD

  • soooooo cooooooooolll!!!!

  • stick your hand in there.... :3

  • What happens if I put my hand in there?

  • So if you swallow a couple of these before a road-trip you won't have to pull over and take a dump?

  • my wife couldn't finish her smoothie after seeing this, so i got it.

  • My head is itching now o_O

  • You mention that they like human feceas..... can you make your next video about you having a shit on these maggots?

  • That's both amazing and kinda scary! Those things are waste disposal dreams!

  • I dont even wanna know how you discovered they like human feces.

  • what would happen to your red worms in a vermicomposter if you have these flies?

  • @BManTyler

The don't eat the worms, but they tend to generate a lot of heat because they are so active. In an enclosed worm bin, this can be a problem cause the heat really disturbs the worms and keeps them away from the food source.

  • But what about........The flies ?

  • @roxyrue1

These are really considered more a grub, than maggot. And the mature state is more like a wasp. scary looking, but harmless (at least the ones in my wormbin).

  • I think they started to riot at around the 21st hour, probably yelling FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD!!!!

  • Jeeze - nice one!

  • How romantic...

At the end, when food became scarce, they began a great and tumultuous migration...

  • they didnt eat the fishes spine they didnt clean their plate. to think that maggots in 3rd world countries are starving with nothing to eat and these fucking western maggots leave a whole spine!

  • those larvae should be put on a compost toilet XD XD

  • LoL.. '' and human feces'' haha

when I first red that I thought it says ''human faces'' LMAO xD

    Great vid btw ;)

  • where did the fishys go?

  • fishy heaven :[

  • @watermelonorange they got eaten

  • ..."and human feces".

Do a video of some of these larvae eating a fat log of shit!!

  • I wouldn't want to trip and fall into that thing...

  • Excellent video. Well done. Where do you get your initial Larvae?

  • Brilliant! Thanks.

  • aw look..the fish get to swim again..in a lake of maggots..how sweet. :D

they also make great feeders for reptiles.

  • @DansBallPythons Lol the fish or the reptiles?

  • @superawesome3210

the worms, we call the Phoenix Worms in the reptile world.

  • How are you getting them out of that feeding lounge when time is coming? :)
