Guy; I really like the new videos you're putting out. Great intro to jazz chords and voicing for a folk-rock guitarist. I understand everything you describe about the voicing, but I just have one question/comment:

How come you refer to the individual strings as "4th string", second string", etc?? At this stage of learning guitar, anyone who can follow the rest of what you're talking about (i.e. "dominant 7th", "major 7th", "here's the root", etc.) should know the notes of each open string

well, if you change tunings it's better to say 4th string than G, if f.e you're step down, in some open tuning or stuff. but after all most people understand both ways, so i guess this matter of what he's used to.

Hey Axiluss; You know, I've posted essentially the same comment on several other videos, like from Justin Sandercoe, etc, and most of the time, I get flamed for being so "whatever". But your comment is the first time I've read an intelligent response to my opinion. I just never think in terms of other tunings, so I never considered that situation. I imagine it would get pretty complicated giving a tutorial on jazz chords, on a guitar in a non-standard tuning, but it's probably been done!!
