Shucks.... Reminds me of Polly, my green Indian Ringneck. She's about 20 years old now, I remember her from when I was just little in the 90's. But she's vicious, and probably senile to. She had several owners until she found her way to us some years back. She goes crazy while doing her impression of Woody Woodpecker, or she waits for you and jumps out at you. I can't even feed her sometimes because she's attacking me. I call her "The green devil." But this was funny! xDD
This bird (Zamat) is famous for attacking the visitors band it has nothing to do with 'trying to hit it' as someone has written. He is VERY territorial over the whole place. And as the staff mentioned afterwards would have your finger off if he wanted to but my partner was only nipped and drew blood. All these birds are in the largest aviary in the world in SA. They are all rescue or injured birds so this isn't a zoo, but an amazing place for birds to roam and fly around in.
we had one of those Cockatoo the huge ones, if you do something that looks pretty much some way of them getting hurt... they'll kept attacking till you hide or run, my cousin was mean to it and it just attacked him around the round, but said hello it just want to play, you should of just stood still & don't move. it would of just landed on your arm maybe peck at ya arm or shoulder not to hard, &then just fly away if u didn't do anything, but you tried to hit it away so it though u were playing
