This place in Jordanville has a special place in my heart. I was sent there at 17 17yrs ago a summer boy. I know I was disruptive to the monks and hung out with Wesley the mechanic to much and got kicked out for being stupid. My favorite Priest there reached out to me. He gave me a prayer book My life in Christ and the law of God(that changed my life.) I heard because of that summer they ended the summer boy program. I hope its still available because It founded truth in me forever.

1812 Overture anyone?

This is exactly the prayer that Tchaikovsky used for that part of the overture (also 'God save the tsar').

It's called Tone 1 Obkihod fyi :) and yes the Russian national anthem at the time was written in this tone hence why you hear it on the 1812 overture
