There is no escape: So far there is no better play (or movie) about Mary Queen of Scots than the play of Schiller; and luckily it is still performed on French stages but then again: The coulisse is horrible (ugly as only modern Art can be) and the costumes look like if one would enter a bank or a bureau! But I fear modern theatre will never recover from modernity.
