If any Austin Police sees you using a helmet cam, bike cam or any other type of camera while they are present, you will be deemed a terrorist and subject to detainment and/or tazing, criminal arrest and incarceration at the Travis County Jail for impeding police during official warrantless surveillance of the public.
In addition, you will be charged for resisting arrest regardless of the situation...
If any police officer happens to enter your shot while using your camera, you will be arrested.
Red light cameras reduce intersection accidents. Period. Let's talk about how many times I've had to avoid dumbshits (maybe like you?) running a red light while on my bicycle or motorcycle. So, I don't really give a shit if the cameras generate revenue. Don't run the fucking red light. Now, go find something serious to protest.
Don't run a red light, you won't have any problems. Think about your driving retards. You say running a red light is common sense...you are a fucktard!
How enlightened you are. I wonder why these people never considered it's possible to just not run a red light. You are obviously one of the many morons who has done no research on the subject or you would learn that red light cameras cause more accidents, and that cities have been proven to shorten the time of yellow lights so that they could increase ticket revenue. Not to mention the dangers it poses to motorcyclists who face more danger stopping abruptly than running red lights
@Jerm3090 How unenlightened your are...you are obviously one of the retards who makes statements such as "Red light cameras cause more accidents...." when in fact they have never caused a single accident. It is the people who are not preparing to stop and many times are speeding who are causing accidents. Are you trying to tell me a motorcycle can't brake hard safely? I know it is probably hard for you to take responsibility for your own actions, but please try.
This is excellent! I am starting run at the removal in Ontario Canada! I have a few articles that provide good reasons why the cameras are inefficient and not the solution! Search for "opinionnoted" in google!
I feel violated by being watched by cameras outdoors. I miss my privacy and long walks I enjoyed. Those days are over now sadly. U.S. Constitution, Amendment IV: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
Tag pimping is a good way to fight them. Find out your law makers (rulers) tag number. Make a phony tag for your car with that number, run as many as possible. :)
I sit on the fence on this one....I do slow down on yellow when I know a camera is pointed at the intersection. But I do have to mention a few things, first of if a police vehicle runs a red light camera they have to go through the PSS process which can resa
Freedom DIES in a Surveillance Society; Guilty until proven Innocent. Our children will live without the Freedoms we SURRENDER today, that generations fought to preserve. People are suffering, doing without, losing their jobs, as government hands out $100 tickets, exports our jobs, taps our phones, tracks our movements and purchases and subjects us to naked body scans. Study the Constitution, "We the people are sovereign not government!"
The Houston Metro area sends the fines to Arizona. Not sure about the rest of the state. The main office who made the cameras is in Scottsdale. ATF is the business name.
Someone actually said, "[The camera manufacturers] are making our lives less convenient." Seriously? This isn't an issue of convenience or privacy; it's an issue of safety. The cameras are in place to catch drivers who break traffic laws at intersections, thereby putting pedestrians and other drivers at risk. Obey the law and respect others' safety, and you'll never know that the cameras are there!

Tired of you people crying about privacy. JUST DON"T DO STUPID SHIT and you wouldnt have to worry about anything.... its not freedom of privacy with you people its freedom to have an option to break the law
Cameras are just another money making tool. It shows how fascist the USA government is. But if you really want to protest, then what about the millions of people who were killed by the US Government in Iraq? How about the thousands in Afghanistan?
Red Light cameras are bull-crap. They need to be removed. I can't understand how people can defend all these cameras going up everywhere. It's getting to be like, and possibly worse than anything George Orwell wrote about in his book 1984. Fight for your freedom or loose it !

So basically the protesters are a bunch of people that want to run red lights making it unsafe for all of us. I say protest the protesters.
FTW
This stuff wouldn't be needed or used if a-holes like these red light runners weren't around. They are a bunch of unsafe witches. Burn them. Because apparently they aren't afraid of killing anyone or tickets
There is a system in Europe that has blinking lights red yellow or yellow green when the lights are about to turn both yellow or red. Answer
i also agree with vigilantestv. even though it was i good idea sprays arent gonna get rid of all these govt. ppl trying to control our lives. i think we can do better
By the way, the best protest would be to do one in front of the corporate headquarters of the companies contracted to make these cameras. Just do a Google search on speed radar enforcement, camera enforcement, etc. Follow them with cameras, make sure they obey all traffic laws on their commute back home and report back.
They are making our lives less convenient. Time to dish it back at 'em!
The sprays don't work. I believe they tested them on an episode of Myth Busters.
Great video! We need to do away with these corrupt divisions of the government.
When I paid a little visit to the offices of LaserCraft (the govt contractors who are deployed in my neck of the woods) to see where my $75 fine went, they seemed a little scared of me. All I did was drop by to say, "Hi!"
Thanks for pointing out the corporate angle on this. About increasing public safety? Yeah, maybe, but there's a buck to be made, as well. Seems like if you wanna make money in this country in a creative way anymore, you have to feed off the fears created by the post 9-11 environment.
i think that they were a really good con for a company to make to get a ton of cash, but i honestly think we are taxed enough that we don't really need them, and should be banned, but that's the joys of 50 states, they all get to make there own rules.

Sorry, the rest.......second of all yellow does not mean accelerate. Any ways city/taxes payees should get 100% of fines not 50% to private company .
