I think it would be a difficult choice to choose between Shiru shir amen and Chai. Both songs are totally different, but both songs are very likeable and were performed by two of the best singers from Israel. Although I personally prefer this song to Chai, but I think Israel made a great statement by sending a song with a theme like "I'm still alive... life!" to Germany. I love that gesture! But I have to admit, all the songs from Kdam from Yardena have my preference. Thanks for uploading! :)
Israel traditional kind of song, like all those other songs than keep Israel in the top scores as in years 1978, 1979, 1982 and even 1983 althougt this last was represented in ESC by Ofra Haza.

השיר היה באמת ראוי לניקוד רב וכמעט ניצח בתחרות הקדם, אני הייתי ילד קטן
ובוודאי האיכות הייתה מרשימה של הקדמים עוד יותר:)

Imagine that Khai only won with 1p before this and it is one of the most classic ESC songs ever...

Brilliant song and performance from Yardena Arazi. To me, this should have been the Israeli entry in 1983, and I think it would have won that year :)

i agree! It was so close as well, Ofra Haza beat her by a mere point
