I'm only 13 but I like songs like this

    Its just a feel-good song isn't?

  • great tune,great times

  • LOL! Bunchie1966. Can't believe you've never heard saloon or honky tonk piano.

Anyway, great job! Put a smile on my face.

  • I love this song so much :)

  • this song reminds me of good times with good friends!!!!

  • I never knew Ronnie sang this song.

  • i wish that i knew what i know now when i was younger!

  • is this the version on the film without a paddle, i love this song!

  • This is one of the best songs of all time...

  • The piano is out of tune.

  • its a honky tonk piano. thats that sound its suppose to have slightly random out of tune and in bad shape.

  • This is a damn good video! You did a great job, keep up the great work!!

  • A fucking men

  • The NME ran a story back in November, that The Faces are getting back together. This is a great song (as were many of their others)but I don't see any point in them getting back together now. Rod was only ever an (extremely) poor man's Steve Marriott and the master songwriter was Ronnie Lane (rip). Go and see a gig?....I'd much rather watch Ronnie Lane and Slim Chance on youtube!

  • That is the most awesome piano! Great song.

  • Have your wife leave you unexpectedly after 20 yrs and see how this song feels to you.

  • If that has happened to you then I sincerely feel sorry for you. I can understand how you listen to this song. Take care

  • this song always gets me in a good mood!

  • love this song and its lyrics, and the sound in general is great. :)

  • this song just makes me happy

  • beautiful song

  • almost poetic

  • God bless Ronnie, him and Steve Marriott knock spots of Rod

  • I don't have the words to express how awesome that was. Thank You.

  • great job on this video. one of the best fanmade ones i've seen of any song

  • Thank you so much, that means the world to me.

  • this is not the official vid, but its a great one

  • this song is great man...

  • I am soooooo new to you tube. And over whelmed at the music and videos I've seen. Talk about Da Ja Vue. I've not heard this song in so long. Thank you Thank you..XOXO

  • This is a nice video.

  • Thank you for the wonderful video... and also for acknowledging that, though Rod Stewart is a great rock icon, the Faces were every bit as talented!Truely, if it hadn't been for them... where would he be now?

  • This is shot in Seattle am I right.

    I am from Vashon Island.

  • this song is great man..

  • wat is this song called??

  • Are you serious? -.-;

  • nice

  • really good video,,turn it black and white and add some scrathes and dust effect and your laughing.just my opinion though.love the song and the video.

  • This is AWESOME! You are extremely talented. Keep it up.

  • Awesome Video man ! Keep it up

  • this is in the american blue cross commercials

    or something

  • came across this song from the Meteor ad :)

  • go ronnie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I always think of the Bob Seger lyric from Against the Wind when I hear this, "I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then". Opposite points of view concerning perhaps the naive innocence of childhood, or the longing to go back and fix past mistakes.

  • I liked this video. Especially the b/w part at the beginning with the hid in the woods...very Fred Penner. I dig!

  • glad to see this once again,as it was once "not available".I frequently come here to here this song in it's presentation.Thx 4 da post!!!

  • best verson by far

  • i love this song

  • i like this versian the best, i think it has the best choice of instuments

  • whos the little gay kid

  • me too lol. i just searched "i wish that" and got lucky :)

this vid was homemade? some good work

  • This is a great song!!!!!!!!

  • its great song i love it

  • Remember this from the movie Rushmore - a really, really great soundtrack

  • I love this song!!!

  • Hooray for Dick's hamburgers in Seattle!

  • This song is on a independence blue cross commercial and I was trying to find the name of the song and I found it :D

  • ...Gorgeous old song...The Faces with Ronnie, what a fantastic group....

  • i have spent for ever looking this song up and now i have foud it well proud !!

  • Love this song. One of Woodies best. Ageless

  • who the fuck cares its a great song.

  • No problemo

    Great song!

  • Will you please listen to that again and tell me it's Rod Stewart singing?

    It is Ron Wood singing.

  • I love this song too btw

  • just do a little search people-and open your ears---it's a song written by ronnie lane and ronnie wood---lead sung by ronnie wood. Rod wasn't there at this session and his voice is MUCH more raw (in a good way)

  • actually... I read that it wasn't Rod Stewart that sang this song... he was angry with his band mates at the time of the recording.

  • I was 15 when I heard this and just thought it was a cool tune but didn't understand what he was singing about. 10 years later and I know exactly what he means and exactly how it feels. But it happens to us all and I reckon it's good to have your heart broken once. Makes you grow up, stronger, smarter and more philosophical about life.

  • damn i love this song, in a happily depresing way it does make me happy lol

  • i want this song at my funeral

  • it reminds me of you and me...now theres you and him sad but its all good

  • yeah its like that, but that makes it even better. A lot of Beatles songs are like that too. I think it makes people happy cause its a sad subject so they can relate, and then a happy tune to lift you back up. great song.

  • I completely agree... it almost feels like it is trying to teach you something through the lyrics.

  • awesome song.

i have a song for every feeling

and this is my happy song

    awesome directing as well

    keep it up!

  • this song is beautiful. it kind of connects everyone everywer cause there is no one who can say they don't like this song or who doesn't feel happy when they hear it. it's amazing that way.

    love it.

  • "Love is blind, and you're far too kind -

    Don't ever let it show."

    Depressing and consoling at once.

  • soooooo ggoooodd

i love it more and more every time i listen to it..

  • One of the most delicate and subtle songs The Faces ever did - beautiful!

  • Anybody know if this Ronnie Wood or Ronnie Lane singing?

  • i thought it was rod stewart singing (early in his career)...

  • why couldnt he have named the song "i wish i knew" or somethnig like that... took me ages to find this dam song... well worth it though ^^

  • i thought the song name was when i was younger and it took me forever to find it but it was worth it.

  • one of the greatest songs of all time!!

  • This song was at the end of Rushmore!

  • fudgetron,

    Yeah, you got it.

Great movie. Lotta great songs also.

For personal reason's this song comes back to me, now and then.

But my Grandfather, never spoke of watching out for how women may treat me.

He and my Grandmother were probably the best example, for me, of how in love two people could be.

    I see it now.

"I wish I knew, what I know now, when I was older."

    Take care.

  • Took me forever to find this song.. I couldnt figure out what it was called.

  • Wonderful!

  • it took me forever to find out who wrote this song originally... I thought I was going crazy...lol. What a fantatstic song

  • I usually hate user made videos but this one is actually well done and edited... was this done in Seattle by chance.. Some places looked really familiar.
