But, in k1 he deserves more credit for adapting his kicks for points not for damage. It is a credit to his skill that he makes the kicks count in k1. Poor yodsanglai lost in k1 because his power kicks didn't "score"

He's the best thai fighter for k1 because there are very few thai fighters that fight at 155. It's a small pool of fighters at that weight. Also, he is a great fighter, but he is nowhere near the top. He is a stadium champion, but he won when he was much younger and about 30 lbs. lighter.

Buakaw hasn't been ranked in Thailand for the simple reason that he hasn't really fought in Thailand since 2003. Yes, he is big for a thai and yes, there are better thais pound for pound but it's completely false to say that he isn't a top fighter in Thailand.
