wow i was amazed when i heard this...... ime usually a person that is usually surrounded by an orchestra.... we were playing this song and i clicked on this link and i was rlly amazed at what i heard..
Hey people i have a question about Mekong Delta... I have found information of two different things and only for culture i like to know something... Peavy from RAGE used to play bass or he sang for this band? I know that he only was from 1985 to 1987... but this where his bass lines?
The interpretation and instrumentation in some parts kills the piece, but this song sounds sick with them playing.
They need to cover Shostakovich String Quartet 8 Mvt 2 (the equivalent 20th century death metal), if they haven't already. I might listen to these guys more...
baba yaga is an interesting idea for a song.. I love when people can take inspiration from things other than money and love; not that there aren't some great money n love songs; I'm just saying.
And well it's funny how I thought ELP were cool for doing pictures at the exhibition when I didn't hear this 1(well, they still are, but this is the shit).
i seen a review in a metal mag in the 80s and it was 4 MK DEL,it got top marks.it stuck in me ead,am only now checking them out some 20 odd years later, better late than never i surpose
This song is so epic, my eyes are about to bubble of out my skull and drop drop onto the ground and seep in the earth and from there, dissipate into a billion little ions that can see everything and nothing at all. lmao
I think you can't compare an orchestrated version to this... they did a really good job playing this with only rock instruments. It's a little different from the original, but it still sounds great to my ears.
I have a question to ask (I'm asking you too, BLACKSABBATH0HM). Does anyone have the mp3 for this? If you don't, then where can yoy find it? I did a Google search and I only got empty results.
though i ve heard a little about mekong delta i am impressed of what i hear from them here in youtube...only the singing sounds kinda out of tune, counting that instrumentaly they fucking rule!!!!
btw which albums of them should buy anyone first to listen????
Holy fuck, this is seriously my favorite you tube day of all time...I recorded this song from 88.1 WXBA Brentwood NY. My band played our first recorded song on that same show. That recording(lost forever)was the only one I have ever heard with this song on it.
Why am I barely finding out about this band?

@Medsas agreed! however its cool that they brought this to the modern music realm. Very interesting interpretation.

Have you heard Coroner, Annihilator, Obliveon, or Anacrusis?

Coroners music is great, but the vocals are so boring, no power and temptation.
