  • The greatest of the greatest. There is nothing like Dexter's playing behind the beat,

Doesn't hurt to have Billy on the drums......what a masterpiece.

  • The late but great, DEXTER GORDON. Eye see you.

  • This is sampled in a Montifiori Cocktail track.

    Outstanding music.

  • Just want to say I painted a 24"X32" painting of Dexter Gordon and it's the greatest art piece I ever made.

  • I thought Gordons one flight up album was the epitimy of cool but after listenin to this cd damn I dunno...I guess its safe to say....Dex is hip as hell!!

  • I'm getting in Jazz music! I listen to my grandparents records all the time. Thanks to youtube and cds I can get caught up somewhat. I really love Dexter Gordon's playing.

  • Always been a Dexter fan. He was one of the few sax players with such a distinctive sound and style that you could usually identify him after just one or two notes.

As much as I love his sax playing, my favorite performance of his was in the movie "Awakenings" with Robin Williams. It was a minor part, but he was the epitome of COOOL!
