Without going into a lot of detail, I think it's clear that Paramahansa explained the meaning of Jesus' words in the light of true spirituality in 'Autobiography'. It certainly reconciled me to Jesus' message, even though I could never accept most of the dogma of the Church. Thanks, Swamiji
So true that religions and churches try to put Spirit into a box where it is always reduced and contained. But Spirit is infinite and can't be contained. To be free, it must stay away from religions and churches. Learn from religions, but never get into their boxes.
I appreciate that you talked about this swamiji thank you.Anyway people often think im weird because im always happy and when they insult me or call me bad things it just doesnt effect me at all anymore.Nothing can touch me.However i sometimes get frustrated that so many people try to pick on me in the first place.Theres too many bullys in the world.I wish everyone would understand that they are just making fools of themselves.I am so grateful and thankful to have found this path swamiji
@TheOverfiendDj I think you misunderstand, not that it's any of my business. But personally I think being peaceful does not mean being pathetic. Defending yourself/others out of duty or obligation is different from acting out of anger or hate. The more you tolerate injustice, the more people will push your limits. People see you the way you want them to see you. It does not have to be a physical response, but left with no other choice I think you must choose action over inaction.
@uexplorer Im beyond what other people think of me i think you misunderstand that too.Im just talking from a point of experience and observation .Im not saying that im hurt or that i care because i understand that level of consciousness and i understand how people think.I welcome people to push my limits so that i can be reminded time and again to look inward.I would prefer to teach people a lesson by not taking any action but remain untouched and compassionate
@TheOverfiendDj Well I suppose I respect that. However I just think it's good to be careful, some people are people are pretty set in their ways and may not change that easily. Still if you have such faith in yourself, then maybe I'm the one with the misunderstanding. Fare thee well, traveler. :)
Thank you. Namaste.
