  • Thank you for posting Cactus Brothers music!

Rest in Peace Paul...We love you. Loved to hear/watch you sing and play, my wonderful cousin...

  • David was a wonderful, sweet man and I was sorry to hear he had passed away. RIP David...

@loisberg-I knew Paul years ago...He was smokin' ...the sexiest man I've ever met

  • Love the energy and instrumentation. I feel like I'm a part of the barn dance!!!!

  • hey yall this is my brother Paul Kirby kewwwwl

  • Beautiful.

i keep coming back to this!

May you rest in peace David.

You are truly and sadly missed.

  • Joyous. My favourite video of all time. The crowd are so eclectic, but everyone is having fun. The phrase 'Good Vibrations' comes to mind. This really rocks. I am SO smiling.

  • David was having so much fun! What a great way to remember him - thank you for posting this. RIP, David - the dulcimer's greatest ambassador and a gentle unselfish soul.

  • Anyone know where this video was filmed?

Looks like a genuine "hoedown" and the people are having a blast!!

  • @jc3494

It was on a farm somewhere south of Nashville, and it was a blast!

  • Thank you for the info.

David Schnaufer was a great dulcimer player and died way, way too early. Vanderbilt was lucky to have someone of his talent in their music department.

    Looks like Leiper's Fork, TN.

Walk the West aka The Cactus Bros have always rocked. Between '85 and '95 I must have seen them a hundred times. I still have my vinyl "Walk the West" lp and a pic of me chatting with Will, Paul, Robin Zander, and Rick Nielsen. Their shows were always excellent, but none were better than the ones down at the Tip Top Cafe. They probably hated that place, but they played like there 30,000 people there.

  • @junker615 Thanks a lot, I'd love to see that picture. haha And, by the way, we loved the Tip Top! Peace and love

  • Got It!!!

Have been trying for a long time to get this. Had it once but somehow it got deleted.

Super video by a super group.

    RIP David Schnaufer.

  • I used to go see these guysat the Exit/Inn when they were called Walk the West. Excellent shows from some excellent guys.

  • Grab this one while you can for your own hard drive.... the previous times this vid's been up, it gets deleted REAL fast, under the catch-clause terms of use violation.

  • Outstanding...Looks like a great time was had by all and the music made it happen.

Thanks for finding this gem with David Schnaufer.

    Dave

  • Eccezionale. Grande vivacità musicale.
