My two howl with me as well....very cute. Whassup with veloceptor? 120 pounds might not be overweight...depends upon the dog. There are two types they are breeding now, one are lighter framed (like my 2) but the originally bred ones in Rhodesia were huge (my husband is from Africa and grew up with them). JACK23352335: Next time you consider having another dog maybe you should consider its nutritional and exercise needs! 120ilbs is an overweight/obese Rhodesian Ridgeback. Just because so many other Ridgebacks owners may have dogs of a similar weight this does not make it the physiological healthy ideal. Too many dog owners feed carbohydrate cereal based foods and too little exercise for their dog(s).
One of the 3 Rhodies I had was a 120#, liver nosed howler. He loved attention and would try to talk. His yowling howl will be missed always. Jake, R.I.P.
I had 3 rhodesian ridgebacks , 2 big males, 120lbs, they would bay like that when they were chasing a rabbit or something.
Or on the leash, they would bay loudly if another dog came around.
They were so good, I really miss my babies, they gave me 12 awesome years, its been 7 months since the last one had to be put to sleep, he started to breakdown fast, it sucked so badly, I cried for a week.
I dont know if I could ever have another dog after that, you grow so in love with them...
I started with the male when he was only about 3 or 4 months old. He wanted to please. I howled at him and he howled back. Treats of course. He taught the others. Just play this movie for your dogs and they will catch on. Howl for them and give them treats.
