I also have the whole soundtrack album from the movie "The Fog". But I´m missing one track. At minute 30:43 in the movie, when Mrs. Williams and Sandy drove up to Father Mallones church. That track is not on the soundtrack album. It´s a very cool track with some synthesizer drums and spinet tunes in it. I wish I could get this track somewhere.
That's not what I was saying. I mean it didn't have flaws. John Carpenter is a cinematic genius. I mean the original is not broken. I meant that a remake didn't to be make in order to attempt to somehow "fix" the original. I should have used a choice of words. Sorry I confused you :D
I quite agree. The original is 100 times better than the recent remake. The music throughout the film just set the moods perfectly. I too know the script word for word. Just love this film.

@bluehavencd Was she a DJ at a really crappy radio station? (As much as I love THE FOG, Stevie played some incredibly BAD music out of that lighthouse!)
"Somebody get to 887 Whitebeach Lane! My son is trapped!!!" I love thisquote! I know this movie almost word for word. I HATE the remake! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
This soundtrack is much better than the crappy 2005 versions. Althought that movie had its moments such as Selma Blair surfacing from her car wreck, (and what I'd give to kiss her lips and hold her soaked hair afterwards.), this version is the finest of all! That remake should never have been like it was. It was an insult to the original! Kudos to you, John Carpenter for making originals sooo much more effective and better made! Cheers!
Love this music. The movie scared the shit out of me when I saw it on TV as a child so I've been haunted ever since! Mix his movies with H. P. Lovecraft and see what you get!
John Carpenter is a beast. Nuff said.

@saychinqua This isn't a cover; this is Carpenter's original score. The first 18 seconds weren't in the movie, but this is all JC.

This reminds me when my mother used to come home form work. And yes, a creepy fog would follow.

@laurelfan1 "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". yeah but that would imply that the original has flaws. that is far from the truth.

I wonder if anyone ever considered hiring John Carpenter to score their film? The guy is wonderful at creating atmospheric music.
