  • so similar to the Genesis two account in the way Johnson Anthopomorphizes God, a beautiful poem

  • God has only been lonely once... at the Cross. It is a shame that something so important is trivialised by the poetry of Mr. James W. Johnson. With such a great abundance of information, which I know is available to Mr. Phipps, it is amazing how it has been passed over in favor of the fanciful imagination of Mr. Johnson. And by the way, Father, Son and Spirit ("Let Us make...") created humankind to vindicate God's character, not because God was lonely. Remember the war in Heaven?

  • beautiful video

  • IT is sad how we can listen or look around and we still let the DEVIL come into our minds. over a video what does it matter on the color that was chosen in this video we will never know the color of Adam until that day in heaven. Our thoughts are not his thoughts . We are supposed to be like our Father in heaven well , you can't if you have that attitude

  • @brunsondave

If you were referring to my post; You are totally misunderstanding what I am saying. Color has nothing to do with God's Grace; but color still exists. It was just an innocent analogy of the creation. I am glad someone got it though.

  • What does color have to do with it? We are all white..underneath the first layer of skin...Get past color it's all about the HEART not color. We are all God's children, we are all on even ground here and some day we will be all together singing praises to our Creator. Don't take away from this as Wintley does a magnificent job and I thought you did a really wonderful job on the video too. THANKS FOR POSTING! May all GLORY go to GOD!

  • Awesome preached and graphics.

  • James Weldon Johnson's poem

  • it's wonderful

  • this video really brings the poem to life. I thought i would just be pictures too, but this is great. and I agree that Adam was a black man, no doubt. He was from the dust of the earth....so; and Eve was white or something like the color of a bone.

  • @oneaccord2010 your comment is very cute!

  • @oneaccord2010 your comment is very cute! make me smile

  • wonderful..

  • Thank you for providing the context. It certainly makes the video more accessible.

It really is well-done, and I'm glad you did it.

  • Wonderful work on the video, but the whole thing was destroyed for me when at the end the "man" was white! That's just wrong.

  • I have used videos from Youtube itself to compose this version and this "Adam" was the only one I found that could fit the edition (the other ones are all cartoons, try youself). I dont agree either that the original Adam was an all white man, even because in accordance with the Bible, the Eden Garden was located where today is Iraq (between Tiger and Eufrates river). An "Whitty" wouldnt last 1 week in the sun...

  • One of my favorite stories!

  • wow.. u did a great job.. i thought it was gonna be just pictures but u took it to another whole level. good job.. i hope u get even more views.

  • One of the most beautiful spiritual poems of all time. I remembered we did it in church some years ago.

  • This was originally written in 1920 by James Weldon Johnson (1871-1938). Johnson was inspired to write it, and others, by the recollection of sermons he had heard in his youth. He had the power to sweep his hearers before him; and so Johnson himself was often swept away. So does my brother Wintley.

  • Love this man with agape love.

Thanks a lot Robodrigo for this re-editing, it's super rich.

  • He made a mistake. Even though you can tell he's very Passonite about it, but he says it rained durning the creation, when it had never rained at all until Noah and his ark.

  • He didnt say rained he said ran down...

  • this man sure do seem to have the "gift of GOD" in his soul and his words.

  • Amazing.

  • These are just some of what our minds cannot comprehend as He spake things came to form. Thanks for the fragmental snippets of God's extraordinary creation.

God bless you and your work

  • That was well done. I liked the way that they scenes go together with his words.

  • Wonderful,

I enjoyed the poem and the videos went extremely well with it. Great job!!!

  • this is wonderful wow

  • Wow, I was very moved by the video of Wintley Phipps doing this poem with the camera on him but your version with matching pics to what he's saying is even more special. Thank you for doing this & posting it. What a rich blend of story, voice and picture.
