  • Love the song! I never heard of it, so thank you for the intro!!! :D Love the vid!!! :) You're not a fan of the MO'rd Sith, Cara? was just hoping she was included! :)

  • Arya Stark would be a great addition to that group. :)

  • @222Crows And Briennen of Tarth :) Too bad I didn't know her when I made the video...

  • Gah, this song always chokes me up. This is exactly what feminism should be about - and I don't mean the fighting. It's about finding something that you care about and knowing that, no matter what your gender or anything, you can throw your whole self into it. Whether that's taking up the sword and protecting the ones you love, or anything else in this world, it doesn't matter. I'm so glad to see our positive female role models getting the attention they deserve. Love the song, love the video.

  • Ok, what does Mulan have to do with everything?! Great vid, though you missed some serious war ladies and Mulan is a goddamn cartoon, but I liked it anyway. Sorry about my critics.

  • @KatherinneStark You do know that Mulan was actually a real woman and that cartoon was just loosely based on her life?

  • @LoisLaneFan My apologies If I sounded ignorant, and no, I did not know. If so, next to great Eowyn and the other girls, a movie with Mulan, an actress and real effects. Sorry again and awesome video. You put all my favorite girls from theese movies into an, and that's a first. :) Keep up!

  • @KatherinneStark Shitty keyboard. * should be a movie with. and * into one.

  • @KatherinneStark Actually, ther is a live action version of Mulan that I used in the "Ophelia Multifandom" video.

I hadn't watched that one yet, when I was making "Ladies of War" ;)

  • Wow! This is beautiful.. Just love it...

  • This video was amazing, I love Heather Dale and all of these damsels of distress, thanks very much for making this.

  • wonderful video especially the song choice, this would be a perfect song for the tortall books to, I love mulan. Because of all the girl fighters in my favourite I took up fencing, I can't say I'm all that good yet but I'm getting there.

  • this is an awesome vid :) i expecally love how you ended with kahlan looking up, like "whos next?" :))

  • which is the one in the second scene?after kahlan

  • @XxLightNTheDarknessX Lady Morgana from the BBC show Merlin.

  • @LoisLaneFan thanks

  • Beautiful vid! You got literally ALL of my favorite kickass Fantasy heroines!

Reading suggestion: if you've never read C.L. Moore's Jirel of Joiry stories, they are an absolute MUST. Jirel was (fun fact) the first female Sword and Sorcery hero ever, so we have wonderful lady author Moore to thank for Xena, Red Sonja, Eowyn and the rest. :)

  • Trivia fact: Peter Jackson's first choice for the Eowyn role was Danielle Cormack, who plays Shota on "Legend of the Seeker".

  • @baraxor Hmmm. Really? Well. Definitely prefer Miranda Otto.

  • Good! Maby you could do one with Cara from LotS in it

  • brilliant. i love it you used the best warrior womans. Kahlan is just awesome in LOS and Eowyn was always my favourite in LOTR and Mulan is just my favourite disney woman. And the awesome girls of my favourite tv-shows. Morgana the badass Socereres and Guinevere as the future warrior queen COOL! i love it how you resembelt the warrior women of movies and tv-shows. brilliant done.

    GIRL POWER RULES!! XDXD LOL

  • Love the song! Reminds me of Tamora Pierce's stuff. Great vid with great characters. I'd love to see one with Maid Marian in it too.

  • Daw, that was really pretty <3

But I kinda missed Kayley from Quest for Camelot among these... - maybe she just didn't provide enough usable material.

  • There are quite a few women I didn't include, like Kayley or Princess Fantaghiro...

I might make a second part to the video one day to include them.

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing this!

  • some of my favorite characters! Great vid!

  • Nice video :) i've always loved women in the middle ages (or just in general to girls like us) who were empowering to other women. Very out-of-the-ordinary video. I enjoyed it alot :) Thanks for making it.

I'm working on a story with a knight whose a women, so this video inspired me to continue on with it. Thanks :)

  • Glad you liked it.

I just love girls with swords, so I hope to read your story when it's finished. :-)

Have you read "Song of the Lioness" by Tamora Pierce? Those are 4 novels about a girl who disguises herself as a boy to become a knight. They're full of adventures, magic and a bit romance too. :-)

  • @LoisLaneFan No, don't think i have :) sounds like my kind of book , i'll have to check it out sometime. Thanks for suggesting it :)
