lol.. I know its dumb but you should have already assumed you were going to get beat with a LB guarding a TE and audible out so you wouldn't have to worry about it. Before you pick a play make sure you have the right package on the field to cover. LB's are better off in zone coverages if you expect them to cover people. If its Man D expect problems when there is a mismatch..

Just an FYI on how the Difficulty levels in Madden work. The higher you crank up the Difficulty, like this scenario where you are playing on All Madden, the USER team AI is set to Pro AI... this is why the linebackers can't cover.. While I'll agree this is a stupid way to make the game harder, it is in fact how they do it. That being said, if you want a true, more authentic gaming experience play on All Pro, where the AI's match, and adjust the sliders to make the game as hard as possible. :)

In my opinion , the 2k games seem to have really crappy gameplay and graphics, but like all the main menu and other features are cool, like in 2k nhl where you could drive the zamboni :P. EA just has decent graphics and boring menus.

when I play all-madden, way too often i would see a WR get past the secondary. I'd throw up a bomb to him only to have a sure TD bounce off his hands. apparently madden thinks improving difficulty is making your team play at a high school level. obviously totally unrealistic and completely frustrating, but i'm just pointing out that this might not happen on rookie.

one issue you can see here not even pertaining to the gameplay is the atmosphere. i mean the a.i. was just downright terrible, and then i look at the denver fans and half of them are jacksonville fans. realistically how many jags fans are in denver? but when i play in tampa where there are tons of opposing teams fan there it's all bucs fans, which from experience is not realistic. sorry to nitpick at that after you made a video about something completely different, but i just needed to say it,

And to top it, the linebacker is just standing there the whole time looking at the QB and the ball. And the receiver is so close to the linebacker they are basically touching with the linebacker in front of the receiver and the receiver right behind him. And the ball just zooms right over his head and he does nothing. He doesn't jump, no hand up no nothing. The players only do things in certain animations. If it's not in a certain animation script or scene then it won't happen.

Man Versuz, I was just playing this crazy ass game yesterday. I put my defense in perfect position and the linebacker is standing in front of the the receiver and the linebacker is Ray Lewis if i'm not mistaken. The ball is not thrown high or where the backer can't intercept it or knock it down. The ball goes right over his head while he just stands there, and boom 1st down for the receiver. LOL. Yo Versuz, I believe that another HUGE problem is zone coverage, well actually all pass defense is bad but zone coverage is so horrendous its ridiculous! Players move to thier designated zone and just park there until the play is over.

One more thing I find is that the CPU needs to break tackles very very often to beat you, I do custom sliders and leave eveything on all madden besides the CPU's break tackle ability which I put down a little bit, then I destroy them. Its no fun.

I'm sure animations play into this, but one of the big problems I have is that many linebackers (and Defensive players in general) aren't as fast as running backs and wide receivers in the game. The problem is, in real life there is an increasing number of linebackers that are running 4.4 40's or maybe a tenth of a second slower, yet Donny Moore doesn't represent this in their ratings. Now how he couldn't keep up with a fullback, I have no idea.
