This was not that good a ball. Ok is turned a long way, but the fact it got a wicket was entirely down to poor batting. Pitched way outside leg stump, so all the Gatting had to do was kick it away. Would it have been considered such a good delivery if Gatting - such a great player of spin bowling NOT - had managed to do that??

I have to disagree. The amount of drift he got was one of the main factors Gatting didn't know what to do. Gatting was forced into a bad shot. The trajectory, drift, length, and spin combined put Gatting in no man's land. The ball played Gatting - it was the perfect delivery.
