  • is there a chance that you could tell me how the 3 columns of 7 cards trick works?? thats been boggling my mind for awhile

  • @AZNPride2k11 I will explain it. When you put the selected deck in second, it will always be one of the cards 8-14. These will now be one of the middle 3 cards of the 3 decks if you lay them out like you should. When you take the deck with the card in it as the second one again, it can only be one of 3 cards. when you lay these out again, these 3 cards will all be lined up in the same spot of the 3 decks, which is the 4th position. That means it will always be 11th(7+4).

  • you are amazing teacher.now i totally understand this trick-thanks to you singingbanana!good job.thats all i want to say

  • how do yu record? someone tell me!

  • Did you use a stratus deck by Cartamundi?

  • There are some powers of 2 in this as well: 2, 4, 8, and 16.In the first cut of the reveal you cut the deck in half, or leave only every 2nd card (the even numbers). During the second, you cut that in half, leaving every 4th card, starting with 2(2,6,10, 14, etc.).You cut these in half leaving every 8th card starting with 6(6,14,22, etc.)Finally you leave every 16th card starting with 6, which is 6,22,and 38!16 cards don't go evenly into 52;there is a remainder of 4 - the 4 cards at the end.

  • Definitely you start with how you want to reveal the cards and then design the trick around it. Algebraically, call the chosen cards A,B,&C. Call the number of cards in the 2 cuts "x" and "y."Your deck before moving the 4 cards to the bottom is stacked top to bottom like this: 9 cards, Card A (position 10), 15-x cards, x cards, Card B (position 26), 15-y cards, y cards, Card C (position 42), and 10 cards. Note that 15-x+x = 15 which is how there are 15 cards in between A-B and B-C.

  • Every time I try, none of the 3 cards I chosed are the final 3.

    Why?

  • @SmoothCriminalzTv Did you take 4 cards off the top of the deck and place them on the bottom?

  • WOW thank you for making me feel like an idiot, I'm going to smash my face into some poker dice and laugh my ass off now

  • 10 ppl r idiots

  • Holy shit... You must be the smartest man on youtube :O Good job!

  • *slaps forehead* I should have figured that the cutting wouldn't matter!

  • british ascent rocks

  • nice one mate

  • thanks man

  • A very clever trick.

I figured it out myself: on Uncyclopedia look up "User:Bluefire272/Explanations and other crap" for my explanation. It's a bit harder to understand than this one :)

  • 2gud

  • I think next time I try this I'll do it with 11, 16 and 16 cards to leave you with six (instead of nine) cards at the end? I showed this to a friend of mine and, while he couldn't work it out, he wasn't completely astounded because he suspected something when I moved the top four cards. It ruined the illusion a little.

  • @corbenj Yeah i agree. You can eliminate putting the four cards at the bottom of the deck by starting off with piles of 14, 15, 15, and 5. I think the four card thing kind of gives the illusion of shuffling the deck even more so the observer isn't led to believe anything is set up.

  • 3:33 CUT

  • I don't understand how they're 15 cards apart no matter where you cut the pack

  • @tweetspie06 look carefully at how he cuts each pack and stacks it all together at the end, they key cards dont move anywhere. lol You put one card on top of the ten, cut the 15 anywhere u want, then put a card on top of the remainder of what you cut, rinse repeat. Then watch as he puts it all together, nothing ever really got cut.

  • @tweetspie06 if you look at what is done to the cards afterwards (4:00), the 2 parts of the pile are put back together.

  • you my friend, are a genius!

  • 1:54 666! :)

  • @gabek30024 It's the sign of the apocalypse.

  • I doubt you'll toss away that marked deck! My mom was a high school math teacher and had an entire closet of odds and ends used for experimenting and showing various math and especially stats stuff.

  • you are fucking smart

  • not trying to be cool but this is what i thought how to do it but i havn't got a camera t0 record

  • @tery980 Well what are you trying to be then? Cool?

  • you are a mathmatical mastermind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 699 to 700 Likes ... no need to thank me :)

  • You sir, are an absolute genius to figure that out...That is simply amazing. Thank you!

  • Wow, I use to hate math in school, but now I love it. Math card tricks are so awesome. It's fun to mind boggle people. It's especially great for kids, gets them thinking! :) Thanks for the video

  • seems simple now that u do it...awesome bro

  • wow. amazing! I LUV YOUR ACCENT!!! :D

  • @bigboy751000 It's a British currency, like cents :D

  • @bigboy751000 whats money?

  • YOU FOUND A PACK OF CARDS FOR 99p

  • 3:31-4:12

"Then he could CUT the pack next to it, anywhere he wanted to and put it on top..." (continues w/ instructions) "and he was allowed to CUT the pack next to it anywhere he wanted to..." (continues) "know matter where i CUT the pack..." (etc.) " doesn't matter where i CUT the pack.

    CUT!!! lol

  • yeah, nicee!

  • op down op down i got this cooked

  • world wide fame for 99p? not bad

  • nice shiny deck :)

  • i can tell from his accent that he knows what hes talking about

  • woahh thats sick how that works

  • the response video loaded faster than the other one

  • Down and flip.....down and flip.....down and flip

  • I hit like because you ruined a deck of card,,,Thanks!

  • I was once told that the greatest hallmark of intelligence is the ability to take any concept and reduce it to an explanation that anyone can understand, this is the definition of an elegant description. Bravo!

  • wow it so simple

  • extremely well-explained!. Thanks a lot !

  • brilliant...!!!

  • perfect explanation thanks

  • (Insert number of dislikes) people couldn't understand it after the explanation.

  • you are smart wary smart

  • cool

  • you could have used... sticker numbers

  • ty i understood it!! ill buy you a new card pack for thanks!!!

  • im sure mismag822 has a few spare packs for your brilliant work

  • that is the greatest explanation of anything ever.

  • Genius at work. Brilliant ideea

  • nice..good job..

  • wow your amazing!

  • i can't get this trick to wrk WTf

  • @AngryLlamaz did you remember to put 4 cards down???????

  • lol singingbanana xD

  • Oh my god! 1:55

    He put down 666. D:

  • SMART!!!

  • i am sorry for wasting your monmey, at least it's not in vain

  • Your a genius

  • 9 ppl probably don't know how much 2+2 is.

  • i love your accent. (:

  • Good explanation. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • it's so silly when you think about it... "here cut the cards ANYWHERE YOU WANT... ANYWHERE"... 3 seconds later *puts the rest of the cut bunch on top of the cards you just cut, rendering your cut meaningless...... AND NO ONE WOULD EVER NOTICE IT ON THE SPOT... well few would I guess....

  • Like if you found the card trick vid on StumbleUpon!

  • i really like the way british people say, "up", its like... oop :)

  • amazing explanation, you made it look so clear thanks for sharing

  • cant you put 14 cards in the first pile and not, after combining all the piles, have to put 4 cards on the bottom?

  • @theyeyeyeyo1 yeah

i dont see why that wouldnt work

  • stingy bastard :))

  • I knew what he meant. I was just being picky for the sake of being picky.

  • its mismag882

  • wow :)

  • That is GENIUS!

  • Aren't those cards 16 apart. Sorry if I'm wrong but 22-6=16 and 38-22=16.

I understand what you're saying, just being picky.

  • @TTFFAANN he means that there are 15 cards between them.

  • @TTFFAANN they are 15 cards apart. you only count the last card and the cards inbetween them. so 14 inbetween annd the last 1=15

  • oop down l0l

  • i very much appreciate you sacrificing a pack of cards for us!!!!! <3 <3 <3

  • @Reika5000 of perfectly good cards <3

  • @archieforlife aww thanks for a reply lol any reply, i always wanted to make it to the top coments o.O yay!!! lol still one of my favorites to perform, i replace 3 cards with 3 of my jokers so they are unmistakable for the others

  • @Reika5000 haha so true

  • @Reika5000 agreed

  • I figured this out on my own :D

  • after watching the trick, i closed my eyes and it took me 4 minutes to understand how it works just using imagination. tho i couldve been faster... most important thing is to c immediately that no matter how u cut the pile, those cards still get reunited. this was just a diversion..

  • lol one of my friends did this on me at school. now i can finally take my revenge!!

  • best vid ever thanks do some more

  • Great video, although I don't like the simplified version. I think the cuts make the spectator believe the cards are put randomly in the deck (by himself also and it's better).

  • U are little bit slower than mismag in '' up, down'' spot. =D

And u said u waste your cards to explain this trick, but no matter, they are cheap and bad trick cards =D

  • U are little bit slower than mismag in '' up, down'' spot. =D

  • nice. i see now cuz when you cut the deck... the other half still goes on top so its still 15 cards. lol. i see i see.

  • gr8 man

  • but wait, how come it doesnt matter the way you cut the deck?

cuz i tryed it and i got 2 of the 3 cards .

they were totally out of the random

  • Genius. Your IQ must be darn high

  • @davidlohcc what are you talking about? 547656892354568932 isn't that high

  • gimme a break. i didn't notice the top rated comments. and yes i see now that I did incorrectly state "all three sixes"

  • Thanks

  • Smart guy.

But not smart enough to use removable stickers to number the cards.

  • @loqiloqi i think the removable stickers cost more than 99 p^^

  • @Maesto1507 Maybe he used a dry-erase marker.

  • @loqiloqi Stickers may make it harder to shuffle and generally handle the cards... it's not like he wasted a lot, even if it's a permanent marker.

  • Great explanation as always....thanks

  • 1:58 did anyone else catch that there were all three sixes in a row???

  • @islandstylebassist yes, someone obviously did. (See top rated comments) And also there aren't only three sixes.

  • Thanks a lot. That's a brilliantly clear explanation.

  • Damn, and I thought it was witchcraft!

  • what is that deck??

  • SORRY...but why do you put the 4 cards on the bottom? why INSTEAD you make the first deck of 10 cards(10/15/15/9) you dont put already the 14? (14/15/15/5) its easier no?!

  • @M1M3S1S yes, that would be easier, cause when I count 4 they say "What ya doing?"

  • wo shit ,... so f*cking awsome

  • holy s*** your smart as f***

  • @cpeaslee55 LOL. true

  • actually he didnt learn us how it goes

  • @sjonnie166 Teach us how it goes, teach

  • @Brounto i cant becuz he didnt mention how it goes

    -.-

but still singingbanana is really smart and i respect that

  • fantastic responce now i get the 4 cards down thing thnx u i will surely subscribe

  • i love how he pronounces "cut" and "up" :P very cool. Very awesome explaination

  • 9 people are gay

  • Very good job debugging this, it's amazing how much "math" is actually pattern recognition, and you're spot on, very enjoyable

  • cool :D

  • Logical explanation. I really like the way you explained it ... 5 thumbs up for that.

But now that I think about it for a second, it's hard to believe mismag had such a hard time figuring this out ... ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS DRAW NUMBERS ON THE CARDS

  • the smarttest man alive haha

  • ohohohoohohohohohohohoh

  • wooow thanks you are a genius

  • 7 people are just mad because they still dont get it xD

  • Should've use a washable marker

  • mad respect man, I enjoyed it

  • really brilliant thanks a lot

  • 16 apart .

  • It was kind of obvious :D But i leave it to you banana you are the math master :D Amazing thanks!

  • really appreciate your hardwork ;D thank yous veh much.

  • wow, i would never have guessed. nice explanitory vid!! wat 7 people missed the like button? im trying this trick in the morning (since its like 12:30am here).

  • OMG this is my fave trick , You and Mismag822 explain this stuff so well , unlike other ppl

  • you'll get it back in 100 views.. lol

  • Thanks so much for this explanation. very cool!

  • DAMN YOU ARE the smartest person on youtube............

  • A brilliant description of this card trick.

The only thing I didn't like with mismag822's version was the need to move the top 4 cards to the bottom of the pack. When I saw the video I was suspicious. I now know it was to move the cards to their required positions.

So, instead of dealing 10,15,15 into columns I tried a version where I dealt 14,15,15 and get the same result without moving the 4 cards from top to bottom. I kept the 5 other cards in my hand - doubt anyone would notice.

  • when i tried to figure it out i didnt even know where to start, finding out what order the cards were in before u flipped them up/down was genius!

  • UR SO SMART!!! NOW I KNOW HOW TO FIND OUT MATH TRICKS!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!! YOU ARE VERY CLEVER TO NUMBER THE CARDS!!!

  • WOOOOW !! you made my day !! :D

  • Your simplification doesn't amaze people as much as letting them cut the deck where ever they want. Nice job figuring it out though

  • 99p= ? and there not bad now you can use numberd cards

  • @2bdkid 99p is about $1,50

  • your accent is amazing.

  • HOLY SHIT! i was like wtf? at the start but it all made sense in the end! YOU ARE AWESOME!

  • thank you btw haha :)

  • i like how you say "cut"

  • I wonder if there is a way to do this trick with only one card left because if the principle remains the same couldn't you rig the set-up to where it could

  • this is sweeet.

  • at 1:54..... notice how THREE 6's are flipped up one after another.... coincidence?

  • @BboyQute He must be the most cleverly disguised antichrist.

  • @BboyQute Spooky!...

  • @BboyQute that's weird...
