They have one fact wrong here. Ultralight wheelchairs are NOT 30lbs. They are adding about 10lbs onto the weight of them. In fact my ultra lightweight wheelchair weight about 18lbs with the wheels, backrest and cushion included which is lighter than the ones they make.
I'm not sure if they were just giving facts they were told by the company that makes these chairs, but the reporter really should have looked into this for himself before reporting false information.
great chair have one very light and very fast. Folds tighter than anychair i tried. Pick up with one hand. I carry it on the back of my harley stores real well. I have Spinergy wheels makes a difference
My titanium wheelchair only weighs 18lbs with wheels, and everything except the cushion. I don't really see any advantage in this chair design. There are plenty of chairs out there that weigh the same, or less and are not as "chunky" looking. I guess if you like the look of a "solid" bulky chair then it's great, but I think I'll stick with the "barely there" frame of my current chair.

Nice idea. Lighter chairs are available, as I roll in one myself.
But, I like this design, and will post this on my new news site.
