aww they all seem to be doing what mine have been doing just laying around and trying to stay cool. They look great for the age that they are. You can tell you have really done a great job with them.
Well, if I come back as a dog or cat in my next life, I want to be your pet. I've been reading your comments to everyone and understand your pain & fear for her, but also, I see your love for her. I don't know a lot about animals so would never give you advice, but just hope her time left with you is as pain free as possible and that you're able to see when it's her time. Hugs.
@thizizliz Thank you Liz. I love them more than I have ever loved anyone/thing. Trudie is a wonderful dog; smart, loving, and protective. She can't see or hear well and isn't eating much, so I supplement with hardboiled eggs. It's going to be really tough after more than 14 years taking her to the vet. A dog will give you the purest love you will ever know. Try it; you will like it!!! xo
@wildheart5 I have a husband and a son, so my pet limit is already exceeded without bringing in any 4 legged critters. But I'm so glad for you that you've had her so long and I hope the rest of her time with you is painless. Hugs!!!!
@twish1999 It really is Trish. I can't tell if she is in pain or not. Other people look at her and gasp, but she's my baby and I just see Trudie. She doesn't hear or see well and her hindquarters give her a lot of pain, I know that, but she acts like she wants to go around the house and yard with me. It's hard to tell if it's just her loyalty to me or if she really wants to go. ThanksTrish!! xo

@imperceptibleme I know you like Buster! lol He loves attention and grabs it from her anytime he can. She is slowing down and I wanted to take a video of her and Buster accommodated me by being a lover-boy to her. Do you think she looks like she is uncomfortable or in pain? I just can't tell. Gosh, that fan was annoying! xoxo

@mysteryglo Oh they are best buddies and they were like that with Luke too. I am just trying to make Trudie comfortable. She has an awful time getting up and down. She is a very sweet dog and loves children, but when someone comes here she turns into guard dog, barking and growling! Sometimes she suprises even me! Thanks Judy! xo
@wildheart5 I wonder if something like Rimadyl would help her with the arthritis pain? I have heard that it does wonders on some dogs.. If not that one, maybe another pain medication.. Xoxo
@mysteryglo I give her cosequin and some other med for it, she loves having the treats, but I don't see much improvement. My vet said "you never know what is going on inside" and he's right. I am just trying to prepare for this one. Luke went so fast I had no idea what to do with myself. She's the equivalent of a 90 yo! Not easy.
