  • People, this was made in 2004. Don't you see that all the technology they have looks like it's from the 80's or 90's. They're not advocating slavery, they're just saying what life might be like if it still existed in America today, and they're actually saying that if the South won, there wouldn't be as much progress as if the North won.

  • @urchinwildereturns it was both made by Spike Lee AND Kelvin Willmotte. thats how u spell it.

  • @urchinwildereturns then he deserves to have his back put up against the wall

  • This movie was so offensive to me as a pro confederacy supporter.

  • lol

  • @urchinwildereturns

It is presented as a British documentary. It was filmed almost entirely in Kansas, where Millmott lives and teaches.

  • Whats this commercial about?

  • watch CSA confederate states of america it is on it. a what if the south would had won the war outlook

  • Correct. The movie was only presented by Spike Lee.

  • Movie was not made by Spike Lee.

  • I don't really get this... explain??

  • its a commercial from the movie Confederate States of America, a satyr on the civil war and racism made by Spike Lee. You should rent it or get it from the watch it now on Netflix.

  • @gonzojenny2 I think you mean "satire." A satyr is a mythological being from ancient Greece.

  • passing is based on the idea of 'blacks' with a European phenotype who attempted to pass themselves off as whites. Based on the peculiar one drop rule.

  • passing is the historical phenomenon by which african americans have certain physical features that allow people to assume their white and thus gain white privilege and this movie satires how it would be criminalized in a confederate america

  • @LSnicket4

Look up the movie, "The Confederate States of America". Then you will understand. It was a confederate man, who thought one of his neighbors, may be white in skin, but black in DNA. So it was a questionable race. So he was reporting it. Because this movie was like what if the south won the war, am I clearing things up for you?
