@hungrymormon hey don't stereotype americans like that haha i'm american and i would never respect my country's flag in a million years. i would, and do, respect only God and people I know I can trust. Just saying spread the love but most importantly, the Gospel (:
When I was like 3 up until recently, whenever someone asked me what my favorite church song was i would say Spirit of God. I lOVE THIS SONG. always have always will.
Thank you for these beautiful pictures, they go great with the beautiful song. I am grateful that our father saw it fit to allow me to be born in the only true church upon the face of the Earth, being "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints"
a few years ago i went on a youtrh trip to kirtland and we got to sing this song and have a testimony meeting one of the nights we were there. i felt like i was in heaven. i am so grateful for this gospel in my life. it has truly saved my life :)
Awesome Video i keep watching it getting chills everytime,i just put in my mission papers and will soon be getting a call i cant wait to serve the lord.
Great vid. I love this Hymn and I really feel the spirit when I listen it.
I found it .... well ... funny ? Strange ? To see an "american flag" in this vid. I am a "french member" and I would have appreciated to see also a french flag, a spanish flag, a south african flag, a chinese flag.
The gospel is all over the world an not especially in USA. For me, the Prophet is not especially american. Our Prophet is the prophet of God. That's all.
I apologize. I added that because I have a love for eagles and I think they are a significant bird. I love the picture of the Book of Mormons from around the world for that reason. I understand that over half the members of the Church live outside the US. But at the same time I didn't expect this video to get so many views. But you are absolutely right. Thanks for the comment.
BR Griffin. Thanks for being big enough to apologise for the oversight.. Of couirse it would get a lot of views, itis a beautiful job. Any relation to La Dean?
I agree with all you have said. Great video and inspiring, but the US needs to realise the rest of the world is not made up of US possessions. I am appalled in Australia when I see something at church commemorating WW2 and all the posters are about US servicemen. I am Australian and proud of it. SLC please note.
ive been a member my whole life...my testimony has always consisted of borrowed light... it has only been till recent that ive started to feel things i always wished to feel. Thank you for posting this video... I can with no doubt say i felt the spirit... This is the true church.. I never wanted to hear anything about god...content with living of the world... Im without words on how i feel now....
The rock, "cut out without hands", as seen by Daniel, is gathering momentum as we speak, and though great and majestic, is still quite embryonic compared to the "great mountain" that it shall become in filling "the whole earth."
Great video! This is a beautiful arrangement of the song, too. I also like how at the end, in the painting of the Second Coming, the red robe Jesus was wearing gradually changed to white. That was very effective!
This song gives me chills. I <3 this song. It is so amazing. I am not going to even read the negative comments. They don't know their Mormon knowledge. I know the church is true, I know in my heart what is right. No one will ever change that. I am so PROUD to call myself a member of the MORMON church!! This song brings tears to my eyes!! I <3 the Temple. It is the greatest place on this earth!!!
Fortunately for those nay-sayers, unbelievers, and those who preach hatred against the Restoration, Brother Joseph taught the truth. Thank God for the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and all it affords everyone, everywhere.
The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done!
This is a beautiful arrangement of this amazing and powerful hymn. It is our FAVORITE hymn to sing at our congregation, when I'm playing it :-) Bless you to posting it.
Most of my family is LDS. I think this song is SO beautiful. I am Roman Catholic--a very socially-liberal Roman Catholic--and work extensively for causes of Social Justice in the Catholic Church. For a while Prop. 8 greatly divided myself and my LDS family members, being the active liberal I am. I feel the beauty of this song gaps many barriers. I am touched by the notion that the lamb and the lion may lye down together, focused on a common love. Thank you to the person who posted this work.
thanks for this video! it feels good and it delights my day each morning i hear this. It gives inspiration and always overwhelmed with joyfulness that i knew about mormonism!
It was made red to better fit the discription in the book of Revelation, how Christ would have a robe of scarlet, stained from our blood. Of course it isn't quite scarlet in this picture. But that is the reason I made it red.
I am a member from Guatemala and this is my favorite hym, everytime i hear it, my heart is in fire, mostly when they sing "and angels are coming to visit the earth" i don't know why, but that happens every single time
One of my first memories singing this song is when I met President Kimball in person. We all stood up and sang We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet. The Spirit of God was so strong that we all in unison immediately began to sing The Spirit of God Like a Fire is Burning. It wasn't a song to us, but a testimony of what was happening.
Oh! I would have loved to be able to experience that! I did get to see President Kimbell when I was about 5 years old. I remember (vaguely) hearing him speak in TN. I think it was in Murfressboro. Thank you for sharing that memory. I also want to thank the poster of this video. I love this song! Thank you.
thanks for posting, very moving video! Love 4:13.

Yep. Good point. Im Canadian, but the Gospel was founded in this dispensation, in America - USA. The promised land.
Its totally appropriate for an American flag.

why is jesus in red at 4:44 , isn't he supposed to be in white in that painting
zeldafan1515 2 years ago
It is true that in the painting He is in white. And as you can see it was photoshopped to be red.
The reason being is this; Revelation 19:13
It was made red to better fit the discription in the book of Revelation, how Christ would have a robe of scarlet, stained from our blood. Of course it isn't quite scarlet in this picture. But that is the reason I made it red.
