@pietermoore Now that you point that out, it definitely looks like it. Still a beefy blade though. I hope microtech doesn't phase these out again, they should be huge sellers. Especially if they do sprints in different super steels, hell, why not do a ti framelock version? With the framelock fad the way it is they'd sell those out before they even hit the shelves

Looks like this version of the SE has a thinner blade stock and thinner liner lock than a reg production SE. Is it 5mm thick blade stock?

@UnitedStatesOfMoney Then again, that knife probably isn't made anywhere near to the tolerances of a microtech, nor does it have a premium blade steel. And I bet it's not made in the USA. Also, microtechs typically at least double in Value once they're discontinued. Me personally? I'd have an Emerson for the price, but the socom elite is a very good knife, especially for edc

Nice, my socom elites off to microtech for servicing. I've got the grip tape inserts though, that carbon fibers sweet looking. It has the proprietary screws though, mine has normal screws. Just ordered a cqc-13 bt from the hq, they're definitely the best knife retailer out there. Enjoy

Nice knife. I like carbon fiber and I would like to buy this knife but microtech is pricing their knives like they were made out of gold and diamonds. Actually there is nothing special about this knife. I have a knife with the same amount of cf that cost 12$ shipped :) But thanks for sharing
