During this era, these countries tried to change from a feudalist state into a communist state which is obviously jumping the gun. Al-Jazeera is MUCH less biased than Fox. The quality of their global news coverage is better than any of the networks in the US. Watch the channel before you make assumptions.

CNN is not slightly left. Does anybody remember how, in the early 90s CNN was considered a center-right news channel, while ABC, CBS and NBC were neutral-center news channels?
Well, CNN hasn't changed. It's still a center-right news channel. The only thing that changed was the appearence of Fox News in the mid 90s which had the effect of pushing the Overton Window farther to the right. As a result CNN now SEEMS to be slightly left, but only by comparison.

@ptr187 Eastern Europe, and the USSR never became a communist state. THey sure wanted to, but because of the natural order of the evolutionary stages of societies, it never happened. During this era, these countries tried to change from a feudalist state into a communist state which is obviously jumping the gun. This is why they fell into the same corruption as we see today in the West. They adopted socialist policies as you mentioned, but non the less it wasn't a communist state at all.

Al-Jazeera is MUCH less biased than Fox. The quality of their global news coverage is better than any of the networks in the US. Watch the channel before you make assumptions.
But the truth is that's beside the point. Obama has gone on Fox. He's just no long approaching the relationship the same way as he does unbiased news. Pretending someone isn't attacking you doesn't make the problem go away. You have to base a strategy in reality to have any reasonable expectations of success.

And no voter fraud was EVER committed. The allegation was voter REGISTRATION fraud, which is significantly different, but Fox made no differentiation. They called it voter fraud.

ACORN hasn't been found to be guilty of fraud, you just can't seem to accept that.
Some of it's low level employees broke the law, but employees from all kinds of companies break the law all the time. Those employees pay the price.
And the investigation of Palin conducted by her State's legislature did find that she used her power improperly, it did not exonerate her as she so ignorantly claims it did.

To me, the most egregious Fox News tactic of recent has been the relentless, shameless self-promotion of the Tea Parties, some of which they hosted in the spring and then "covered" as if it was news. So they made the "news" they covered, then continued to promote those ideas. Not cover the ideas, but promote them.
It's like Jon Stewart's bit after the gay rights march on Washington, which had as many people turn out - Fox didn't even send a camera: it didn't fit their version of "news"

CNN is not slightly left. Does anybody remember how, in the early 90s CNN was considered a center-right news channel, while ABC, CBS and NBC were neutral-center news channels?
Well, CNN hasn't changed. It's still a center-right news channel. The only thing that changed was the appearence of Fox News in the mid 90s which had the effect of pushing the Overton Window farther to the right. As a result CNN now SEEMS to be slightly left, but only by comparison.
Let's keep our perspective.

Yeah, Fox has pushed the bar on what is Right so far away that even a center-right news channel as CNN can be looked on as liberal or left.
A similar comparison can be done towards Republicans, who have pushed (these last years) the bar so far to the right that even a Moderet Conservative like Obama can be veiwed as left or liberal.

News organizations are supposed to report facts. Neither Obama nor anyone in his administration has ever claimed to be a Socialist. Remember something called the United Soviet Socialist Republic? Notice the word "Socialist" right there in the title. A news organization might say something like "the USSR was a Socialist nation." Fact.
Saying that Obama is a Socialist is basically a personal attack. It is an opinion about Obama's character, not news. Thats their right, but dont pretend otherwise.

Fox news consistently lies and misinforms its viewers on a magnitude greater than any other news organization. I'm not a big fan of CNN or MSNBC either, but Fox News has no credibility what-so-ever.
The only person on Fox I have any respect for is Shepard Smith.
