Only in America can someone like Brandy, who has actual talent and put everything she had into everything she did, be cast aside in favor of someone so thoroughly average yet "likable" and "easy to relate to." I know DWTS isn't an according-to-Hoyle dance competition, but it's still depressing to consider that "likability" (and having an inexplicably influential mother) can so easily trump being able to dance. I've been watching this show since it started (seasons ago) and Bristol does not hold a candle to any other finalist - she dances like there's a rod stuffed up you-know-where. @gal5131 - Not just blowing given there is a female judge - and that female judge must be getting something to say there is something "beautiful" about watching her dance, unless she is playing a joke.

We have Bruno and Len as judges on the Brit version and they are soft on our show, too. You need Craig Revel-Horwood to give a proper and unbiased opinion as he always puts Len to shame....and he's gay so Sarah couldn't sway him in any way.

For one so young, Bristol Palin appears to be one of the most happy and dedicated contestants. A few of the others blame each other, make excuses and have sob stories and appear to be whiners. She improved but those scores were pretty high. I don't think the dance was as good as Kyle's yet they got the same score. I guess it would have been hard for the judges to give her a low score with mom in the audience and abc giving her so much airtime.

Bristol needs to break the eggshell and entertain-which understandable is hard, since she has no background in the biz. But right now I am favoring Jennifer and Kyle.
