  • For the first 3 seconds of this vid I thought Stephen Hawkings was in the right hand seat!!!!

  • CRAP!

  • Though FRA airport has an amazing ground control and beautiful terminals, the Rwys, specially 25L/07R are pretty rough and there´s no way to avoid the plane shaking as much as in this video! But i don´t mind at all. Flying in the German airspace is awesome! ATC Rocks!

  • R.I.P - to the passenger who was inside the toilet during landing.

  • @globalmilind

It's forbidden to be in the toilet during takeoff and landing.

  • Cure bumpy landings once and for all. Buy Boeing!

  • @SenorSpode Lol retard, aircraft has nothing to do with bumpy surface of runway.

Airbus sells more and is better.

  • @Pvjinflight We'll revisit your comment when either Airbus fails because the A380 won't make the 420-aircraft break-even point or when the French revolt because their government forces them to swallow the loss. Airbus is government-subsidized; Boeing isn't. That makes Boeing superior in every aspect. Nice talking down to you. Have A Nice Day.

  • @SenorSpode A380 does not fail because of A380 project as they still generate huge amount of money with A32NEO that has stolen most 737 customers already. Last year and this year Airbus has sold more planes. Boeing is in fact government subsidized too, if no other way by huge US military that always boughts war planes from Boeing without competition.

Every single fact proves that Airbus is leading.

  • @Pvjinflight Oh....and good luck with the so-called A350. We have your ass by 3 years with the 787 and there's no catching up in sight for you. Cheers!

  • @SenorSpode Haha, good luck with 737 re designed that will come many years after A32-NEO which has got over 1000 orders already.

  • He is the owner of the airline

  • vai cai essa merrrda de airbus nao e boeing

  • GERMAN PILOTS MAKING THE BEST LANDINGS EVER!!!!!!!!

  • Is frankfurt runways that shit lol

  • @HKS134 I have landed there many times, and seriously.. they are very rough.. thats why most Lufthansa pilots brakes hard and use full reverse to slow down fast and get of the runway...

  • great vid & thanks for the translations. Wish more vids would do that.

  • Flown in and out of that airport a bunch. Nice place. Miss living there.

  • FYI: Thats not a cargo flight, those guys flying are instructors, they are doing A340-600 difference training, or more accurately they are returning from doing touch and gos at some other airport with less traffic than Frankfurt.

  • Was it good for you as it was for him ?

  • They put hydraulics at the gears

  • Did they land on a motorcross strip ??

  • ok lol

  • Those pilots are all Flight Captains and they made a contest about the smoothest landing. The one who would win, will get a cake. That's why they call this 'the cake contest'.

There is nothing wrong with the weight or the equipment of this aircraft.

  • I know that modern airliners are equipped with auto-spoiler technology. I guess the aircraft was not heavy enough to use them. Thank you for your reply. Sorry, the previous comment had an error.

  • I like the title hahahha

  • Best job in the world? I reckon!

  • The co-pilot is Jürgen Raps, former Lufthansa chief pilot on the A340/A330 fleet and now chief pilot for Lufthansas A380 fleet.

  • @irishsoccerguy

I mention it was something like a testflight during a tv coverage about Airbus-Industries. It was no commercial flight. We Germans also have to wear uniforms, when flying commercial. But your suggestion might be cool...

  • im surprised this plane didn't fall apart

  • Automatic fucking.

  • Comment removed

  • @lightquick1

The spoilers deploy automatically upon touch-down of the main gear.

  • @Lifeflight1000

It was a delivery flight. That´s why they don´t wear a uniform. I guess even a LH-Pilot can´t afford to charter an A340-600 for a privat flight. ;-)

  • That's funny, I was thinking the same thing....I didn't see any bars which I thought was Veard. But they both had the same pants on.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh wow. :))

  • The computer knew: Thirty, twenty, retard, ten, five.

  • OH YEAH YOU KNOW HE LIKES IT ROUGH!

  • @ashatbracks :)) he likes it real rough!! oh yeah, I agree. :))

  • That is bumpy

  • must suck flying a plane with no yokes.

  • wat type of flight was this? I see the pilots are wearing casual clothes so its probably not a scheduled flight?

  • @estian1

My guess some sort of delivery or test flight.

  • @estian1 It was Training. Lufthansa had just taken delivery of their first A340-600, and this are Lufthansa's "training Captains" returning from their landing training in Leipzig. It's part of a TV-Documentary about Lufthansa taking delivery of the A 340-600 which was aired some time ago on german TV. It's on Youtube (but only in German): "Ein Supervogel hebt ab"

    Hope I could help.

  • @mojopa01 @mojopa01 yes explains alot thanx!! :-)

  • @mojopa01 yes explains alot thanx!! :-)

  • omg are they any bums on the runway lol

  • Fake!!!!. You can see when pilot retards de trhust early in the approach, and then in short final the auto call out of 20 and retard sounds.

  • @daps1019

It is an edit, the audio is not sync with the video. You can see a cut and then the audio and the video are sync again

  • @daps1019 No, it's calling out for him to reduce power by "retarding" the throttles. On airbuses, the fmc tells the pilot flying to "retard" the throttles once it's established the airplane is only a few feet from the ground and on correct approach.

  • @blampa Hi, I'm a A320 first officer, and the system based on radar altimeter readings calls "retard" at 20 feet for manual landings and 10 feet for auto lands. That's the reason that I say this video is unreal!!!

  • Just imagine what would happen if the pilots didn't have their seatbelts on... haha.

  • what is up with that runway?

  • @tiburcioman It's not the runway, it's the airplane. The problem with it is that it's empty. Too light for the landing gear and the nose gear which are made for more weight. Pilots have no uniforms, so they are probably delivering the brand new airplane straight from the factory to their airline.

  • He's talking about "retarding" the engines,.

  • @kozarac5 No, the engines are already pretty stupid, the "brains" are in the plane.

  • @40390576 I don't think you would be too happy if i called you " retard", just because I wanted you to go slower! Your argument is sadly flawed.

  • did they land on black colored grass field?

  • @cruxader27 lol xD

  • Bumpy 25l

  • where does he moan?

  • Frankfurt: buy yourself a minumally acceptable runway. Danke :P

  • These Germans dont even wear uniforms or anything when they fly. they just wake up and go fly lol

  • @irishsoccerguy Relax ain't it ? :P

  • @irishsoccerguy HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH don't even wash their faces, just get up from bed, put their shoes on and on their way to the airport.

  • @irishsoccerguy

No we don´t. What you see here is totally unusual. It is because this is a delivery flight from Toulouse to Frankfurt. That´s why they´re not wearing uniforms. There are no passengers and cargo on board this flight. When pilots are officially "on duty", they wear uniforms as any other airline pilot does. So this is an exception.

  • @irishsoccerguy

    its a test drive fool

  • @irishsoccerguy Yeah, those fucking Kraut fucks.

  • @meccaturbo Nazi

  • @irishsoccerguy They're REAl pilots!!! :D

  • @irishsoccerguy its only a cargo machine...thats why he dont wear a uniform.... normally every german pilot wears a uniform every time

  • @Pr0PiL0T Even on cargo aeroplanes, pilots DO wear their uniforms while at work. These guys in the video, on the other hand, are doing touch and go (or just read STDBYRUD, just one comment above your's).

  • @irishsoccerguy no, its not an airline i understood what he said .. They are hobby pilots.

  • it isnt a real flight, its only a simulator. I saw it in Tv.

  • @sexyfighter15

its real mate..Just look outside. Also im hearing atc on speaker...they dont have atc in the sim (instructor does the atc)

  • oh yeah you know he likes it rough!

  • If they were not wearing seatbelts they would be hitting the roof of the cockpit.... thats really bumpy it looks fun :D

  • Rough pavements and Frankfurt.....Major international airport ? Can't digest tht thought !

  • @smartdon007

    moscow is even worse.

thats like landing on a potato field.

  • @natsplit hmm....I saw those videos...Didn't find anything wrong in tht landing !

  • airbus planes like to call the pilot a retard for not already idling the throttles.

  • he dont need to wear uniform ? he look like a playboy ...lol

  • landing gear endurance test rsrsrsrsrsrs...

  • maybe the plane is bumping because it's empty...

    it was a training flight

  • they have autobahn or what ever it`s calld but that runway it`s fuckt

  • @piromoretta - It's most likely the lights on the runway that's making it so bumpy.

  • @kozarac5 could be i`ll check som other vids landing on this runway.Or he has a flat tire hehe...joking

  • nice vid.... and good demonstration of the ... "very good" ( ; ) ) condition of the Frankfurt's runway^^

  • It wasn´t bumpy landing. It´s a bumpy rwy!

  • if it werent for the seat belts, they would have come out of the seat. can you imagine the passengers? lol

  • fake...

  • @nkhalex23 why?

  • @nkhalex23

    fake! frankfurt gibt es nicht!

  • Piloten können auch lachen!

  • holy crap thats a bumpy ride. I was thinking it might be made by aviation standard but damn, that like they forgot to pave the thing. lol

  • Lol how could he laugh and joke and act so causal during a landing its a very dangrous and diffcult thing to do he must be so expeired but on the funny side they were bumping all the way down the runway

  • 500 .. Checked! .. 20 Retard!

like 100 feet above the RWY

  • been there, it's really that shaky ride..

  • baby get shaky

  • good if you have pregnant passengers, lol

  • hey frankfurt is a little, non international airport....who needs a good runway there?^^

  • @Hautamekki looks like u dont know any thing about airports !!!! this aircraft landed at frankfort main u dumb ass which means that it is an international airport

  • @hammoudy1300 looks like u are one of these guys who do not recognize a lot and especially irony...

i think i was more often at frankfurt int. airport than you wrote "dumb ass" in youtube comments^^ (or maybe not)

  • @Hautamekki looks like u dont know any thing about airports !!!! this aircraft landed at frankfurt main u dumb ass which means that it is an international airport

  • WTF do u even realise how many flights come in and out of frankfurt each day its one of europes busist airports behind Heathrow and CDG its not little at all do some research and ur see how busy and big it is idiot and yeah they do need to relay that runway

  • @charlieiscool1000 look 6 comments below. same for you; just change "dumb ass" into "idiot".

im really astonished how many people of your sort rummage through youtube^^

  • not good for the hole undercarriage!!!

  • Probably a bunch of knockwursts scattered over the runway. (or beer bottles)

  • THEY ARE WORKING AND REPAVING THE RUNWAY! Thats why the runway is so rough, sort of like when you drive on a road and prepare the surface for new asphalt.

"They are working on the North side of the runway, the south side of the runway is already better," they are working on the surface of the runway"... translated.

  • Holy smokes that's a bumpy runway! Almost like the taxiways in ORD.

  • boah scheiße man, die landebahn :O

  • dear passengers this is your captain speaking.. we have just landed on the lunar surface , our destination. I have seen a bad runway in cluj in romania but not as bad as this

  • Wie der Jürgen Raps ( rechts im Bild . Fliegt jetzt die A380) lacht xD

  • are they test pilots?

  • @patrickjambo17

No it was an official Lufthansa A340-600 training for choosen pilots. just a typical type-rating.

  • @kentFuckas ohh okay thanks xD

  • the didn't even use spoilers on landing

  • @patrickd126 Yes they would have used autospoilers.

  • @Airbus294 oh thanks i didn't look like it moved

  • @patrickd126 they don't use the lever, there is just a switch to turn on autobrakes.

  • maybe repave the runway? just an idea

  • a terrorist made this Rw xD

  • good

  • did they died?

  • Am i the only one who heard the plane say "retard" at 0:33?

  • @Ceasar1030 Yes it says "retard" which is a standard flight director callout in AIrbus planes. It reminds pilots to retard the throttle. You know, some words have two meanings, one as a noun and one as a verb.

  • @Ceasar1030 Yes it says "Retard" at 0.33. The Airbus is equipped with pilot-evaluation software, it provides the pilot with on-going information about his performance. In this case the pilot failed to satisfy the computer he was competent. However if his ability was well below par the computer would have been quite a bit ruder, so all was well.

  • @peto0101 COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY INCORRECT... the aircraft did not like the pilot because he always made a hard landing so before he did this time...the airbus got REVENGE...well the only revenge a talking plane could get...

  • @thefsxandREALpilot You need to get your facts straight before making idiotic comments pal. This airbus had nothing against this pilot, in fact it was the first time the guy had flown this one. The airbus was simply in a really bad mood due to being taken to Frankfurt again when it used to do the Caribbean runs, and would probably have insulted any pilot.

  • @peto0101 ah, your right i guess im a "retard retard retard" XD

  • Comment removed

  • @thefsxandREALpilot Airbus psychology is a complex subject, and you shouldn't feel bad about not being fully up to date. Even the engineers who built the original brains into them were unsure if the planes could be destabilised by emotions of anger or love; particularly if two Airbuses were regularly parked on the pad next to each other.

  • @peto0101

afaik all the airbii call out "retard retard" just before landing.... no matter how smooth or rough the final is

  • @semaex Surely not all airbuses could be as rude as that??? Shocked.

  • @peto0101

    all i know of =)

  • @peto0101 hahahahahahahahahaa your actually joking right?

  • @MatisDaBest No it really does happen. The rules of youtube prevent me from using some of the expletives that are programmed into these machines, but it certainly helps keep the pilots on their best behaviour and stops them getting too arrogant. They should do the same with cars, imo. (eg c-head, your tailgating too f-ing close again!)

  • @peto0101 gpws

  • @Vorox144 rofl!

  • @peto0101 it means to retard the rate of descent, not that he's a "retard". You retard.

  • @crunchycrispybacon

No, it means retard the throttles - bring them to idle.

  • @crunchycrispybacon Nothing wrong with my rate of descent, what are you implying|?

  • @crunchycrispybacon Retard dont have anything to do with descent dude.. retard is something the GWPS says because its time to pull back the thrust livers... thats all...

  • @Ceasar1030 usually they say retard 3-4 times but they only said this once because he did it right away

  • I expect those runway conditions in Russia, but why Germany?! You would think their infrastructure is more modern!!

  • @musico81986

The captain states that the runways are being refurbished. Frankfurt is a big airport and busy airport so you can't just shut down one runway to repair it. It has to happen in small steps.

  • A rainy day :) loads of water on the runway, have seen that quite alot in my 5 yrs of beeing a charterpilot. Indeed in place with a small laughter =) although a nice and fully normal touchdown.

  • He shit his pants.

  • hey why aren't they wearing Pilot Uniform's ??

  • @PAL122995 I presume he is off duty.

  • @PAL122995 so why is he flying the plane when my dad's off duty he doesn

    t fly at all

  • landed there last month, was fine :S

  • @landau96 yes, its an old video. the runway is now ok

  • That runway was unbliebable!! It will make me moan too if I were landing the plane.

  • Aua!!

  • no inventes!!!! reboto un buen!! y se dicen pilotos!!

  • damn... seems to be very rough, indeed.

  • probably still cobbles from the middle ages

  • At the time this was shot FRA did have some of the worst runway surfaces in Western Europe, I know I landed on them regularly. It was like landing on a ploughed field every time. They were the orginal 1950/60's concrete surfaces and you got bounced at the junction of each slab along the whole length of the runway. Fortunately they were relaid with tarmac a while back so much smoother now.

  • Is this a simulator?

    1. the pilots is wearing common cloths

    2. why didn't the 1st pilot pull the speed lever break at landing?

  • @skalmanp96

i dont think clothes matter really, second, the speed brakes are on AUTOBRAKE, meaing as soon as they touchdown and reversers, the speedbrakes deploy.

that should solve it. and no its not a simulator, in a simulator, the runways are not bumpy or shaky.

  • @qwertyguy76 Clothes do matter, but not on a no-passenger rating flight or delivery..There were no passengers on board. That's why the pilots are allowed to be clothed casual.

  • uhmschnur bin so einsam und gelangweilt will sanft gekrault werden hab auch bilder

  • nice video!!!

  • it is weird that a country which called itself "as First World" has a runway in that poor conditions.

  • fuck man, germans can make really really good cars but they cant repair the runways ? cmon germans can do anything

  • why do Lufthansa pilots suck so much at flying? every flight was worse than the next. and the Airbus is supposed to fly itself...

  • STFU european pilots are the best of the best and german pilots are good wtf are you talking about , they arent like shitty British Airways , every time they land a jumbo , it hits the ground a like a fuckin rock and when the land an airbus it wobbles like a bitch, so stfu because Lufthansa pilots are really good

  • It was an Test Flight for the pilots to get closer with the new A346...

    mfg Jan

  • All i'm gonna say is.... "Maintenance!!!!"

Cripes! Hopefully the shocks on the wheels were as good as those on the cockpit seats!

  • cargo flight??-no uniform, and @faroolabjalmak:; u r a asshole -get back to ur MS Flightsimulator and shut up --25l @ EDDF IS A rough runway like the face from mig jagger (joke i like him)
