That was pure euphoric times - One of the best thrilling times to be living in NY City - This free concert was all about the revival of America (early day of Reagan).  I had just made it to Central Park by 6am on Saturday before the concert started - The filled up with a sea of people and by 3pm the cops closed out most of the entrances to CP. In those days NYC was still throwing Rock concert for free in Central Park - Mayor M. Koch made a brief intro. and the night had just gotten younger.

I LOVE this guy - his voice is pure and definitely one of a kind. I didn't see them in Central Park but I was fortunate enough to see them perform the same "reunion show" in Foxborough that year. Hearing Art Garfunkel sing that song, casually standing with his hands in the pockets of his jeans, was one of the most moving moments of my life. And I've had a pretty good life! Paul wrote this song for him and he nailed it every time he sang it in public. Thanks for letting us see it!
