my moms chihuahua had to have her foot cut off due to osteoporosis it would not heal when it broke due to an accident she was a puppy of an over breed mom, my mother's bf thought it was a good breeder but the vet said she had a lot of health problems and they turned the lady in but she was gone when the ASPCA got there to investigate.

She can understand their barks so she probably hears "Help me" and cries. Animals have feelings too and to see that and not be able to do anything must be heartbreaking and furious. Sometimes I'm surprised animals forgive humans over and over again, they are more holy than any human to be so forgiving and welcoming.
