Air force one is a very safe place for the president and in most causes could act as a safe haven for him.

airforce one is simply a call sign for any plane the president boards. There are 2 747s used for the presidents service one registered N028 and the other N029. Either one can be used.

And 17 737/Boeing Business Jets (though only three are assigned to Andrews...the rest are for the 4-Star Combatant Commanders of the 10 Unified Commands). I don't base my evaluation of a President's legacy on the public opinion polls, that's a pretty stupid way to judge a leader's effectiveness. President Lincoln's public opinion rating was also incredibly low, but now many people consider him the finest President ever. The same will be true of Bush.
