An excellent record of a rehearsal for a superb concert, which brought together two great choirs from London and from Yorkshire - Leeds Festival Chorus and the BBC Symphony Chorus - for a wonderful performance of a work which has become a classic. The viewer (and listener of course) gets a powerful sense of the traditions and continuity which exist around Leeds Town Hall. Leeds Festival Chorus must be 150 years old if it was first formed for the opening of the Town Hall in 1858.
