Choreography by Milko Sparemblek. Stevan Grebel is a lead in this film. He was in Tcherina's company and her partner for many years in Paris. It was presented in the 1962 Cannes Film Festival. I own a VHS of this video from Kultur. We have very nice pictures from the film, the presentation in Cannes and an original marquis poster. Amazing film!

This is a stunning movie with incredibly surreal music by Theodorakis. It used to be available on VHS. Shanghaibenny2 you are my hero!

While I'm not particularly a fan of "dance", I've been intrigued by the legend of this film. I've read enough praise along the lines of, "Greatest dance movie ever made", "possibly the most beautiful film ever made", etc., coupled with the fact that this film has never made it to dvd let alone blu-ray. All we have is this badly cropped old vhs version.
