  • I have a lot of fine silver jewelry that has been patina'd with black to make the designs pop out more, would this remove the patina? I happen to have a rock tumbler in it, so I clean my jewelry in it with a drop of Dawn, water and sterling silver shot.

  • Wow!! Great idea :) looks easy and quite cheap! x

  • @Sylvertri yes, it is. :) try it & let me know what you think. :)

  • feminine = receptive; masculine = expressive

  • @antitype27 TY for your insight. :)

  • i found the site...have you heard of karen hills tribe silver .it is all natural. this is what i want to use for all my jewelry. .thaikarensilver - house dot org talk bout some natural healing. wow i finally bought a few pieces and their energy is amazing.

  • @tashaluvsyou wow, that sounds so cool Tash. I'll have to check that out. :)

  • Wonderful video phanie!! Thanks for this info!! Hugs!

  • @NaturesFairy TY Brenda. :) ((HUGS BACK))

  • I use white tooth paste (not gel) and a tooth brush to clean my silver.....Thanks I will try this way!!!! ...also to clean brass, I use whorchester sauce!!

  • @wayyonder Never knew it would clean silver too. I've used the toothpaste on my diamond rings though. Good to know!

  • @phanie12 ...yes!!! My silver bangles were the antique ones...and once I used the toothpaste....it just shinned!! unlike the foil method, you would have to scrub the tarnish off..and it does! But I would rather use YOUR method....I can be lazy at times : )

  • Great video! Thank you for the information! :O)

  • also teacher, more of the nickle and other mixtures are only being made to look silver all the way thru and it also tarnishes. so many folks really need to trust who they are gettin their hand made jewelry from.

  • @phanie12 I'll keep this in mind for my silver snake chain. :) Gotta love silver!

Just curious: which do you prefer, gold or silver? :)

  • You can also DRY rub silver even with gemstones with baking soda. you will see the tarnish going and a beautifull shine . this will leave tarnish in cavities creating an antiqued effect. simply rinse with clear water and dry.

  • Great video! Would this work for a tarnished silver chalice as well?

  • @SolitaryWitchTracks yep, sure would! :)

  • @phanie12 That's awesome! I definitely need to clean my chalice, thank you! :)

  • I cant wear silver unless its like 9999pire,which they dont make jewelry out of. Im allergic to the nickle in sterling silver jewelry

  • thanks!

  • have many earrings that are silver, but have crystals, etc.connected to the silver, would say moldivite, abalone and other types of natural material, would t be safe to clean them the same way?

  • @foxgloved1 use this method only for silver jewelery w/o stones since their are too many variables with that.

  • We love this method for sure!! Use to clean grandmother's silver, too:) Another great video!

    Love and light,

    Jacque and April

  • @lunasolgirls TY girls!!♥
