TRIVIA QUESTION: In what other movie does the lead character hand paint the name Jenny on the side of a boat. HINT: The movie's title has the same initials as this movie. Don't give up! It ain't that hard, just very coincidental.
omg....I love this movie...I own it! My husband and I and our girls can recite it word for word....we've each seen it at least a thousand times.....absolutely NEVER GETS OLD! If you haven't seen it....you have missed out...go get it and watch it!!! It is a funny, clean, family film and you won't be dissappointed at all!
I never get bored of watching this movie, Cary Grant was such a great actor. I strongly believe that "Father Goose" and "Operation Petticoat" were his best films, I could watch them all day long.
No wonder he was named "The Greatest Movie Star of All Time", by Premiere magazine, in 2004.
I was forced to leave the country of Grenada on Thursday and had to go to Trinidad for one night. This unfortunate incident was embarrassing and was done without any provocation from me. It was a total surprise to be taken from my vacation and deported. The attached video is how I feel about it....................
this is a great arrangement of the song but i can't find it anywhere. anyone know where i can buy ANY form of it? record, mp3, album, anything at all? i already have the sinatra version, which is ok but not as good as this one!!
I've never been able to find an extended version of what's in the movie. The only full renditions of the song that exist are from Sinatra and Peggy Lee.
Trivia: Co-writer Peter Stone scripted another highly entertaining Cary Grant picture, "Charade" (also known as the "Best Hitchcock picture Hitch didn't make;" it was directed by Stanley Donen).
Director Ralph Nelson also produced & directed Sidney Poitier's Oscar-winning performance in "Lillies of the Field" (and made an unbilled cameo appearance as contractor Mr. Ashton).
Interesting how they co-ordinated the blasts to the music. Also only two other artists have recorded this song, Peggy Lee and Frank Sinatra. I figured it was an old song, but was made for the movie with the tune following out throuout the film. The title arrangement is interesting with the film "box" shortening to make way for the title credits on the left. Hardly see intereting title credit opening like that anymore. A Fav!
pierce brosnan should make a remake

Unquestionably the unofficial theme song of the Downgrade and Default and its aftermath...

What kind of boat does he have?

Easily the best movie he did ... IMHO. Cute love interest, great setting and hilarious! The pelican stole the first 20 minutes of the movie! lol.

This movie needs to be on YouTube. It's such a great movie! Criminally underrated.

I agree its very underrated. I love seing Cary Grant as the sloppy, swearing Walter Eklund instead of his usual persona.
