  • Im new to all of this/ Just bought a bluray burner. What are the best sites for finding quality blu ray torrents? I've always used piratebay and kickasstorrents to find my stuff. All the blu ray disc rips i find on those 2 sites are about 6GB files. Is that the right size for the usual bluray disc rip?

  • @BBradshaw3000

On all Torrent Sites you can find lost of Bluray rips in every size. The best are about 50 GB, those are Disk mirros of the Orininal Disk, so including menus, title and all the extra's, all in DTS and 1080p. You can also find lots and lost of mkv 4.3 Gb Files so you can burn them cheap on single side DVD.

  • guys just have the latest processor...blueray files play like a dream with it.... just have kmp player... i have intel core2cpu E7500@2.93GHz,3.23GB of ram....having no issues playing bluray movies...just make sure that its mkv format!

  • @ponnu1984

??? Can you play mkv movies on your HDTV? DTS HD? 1080p?

Core 2 is old stuff, about 2006 ,good to play mkv filkes with!?

  • @lucasrem yes u can play mkvmovies on your HDTV....just try it.. i download blue ray movies in torrents and store in 500gb external harddisk and just connect it to usb port of lcd tv, ....my lcd is 22inch samsung 4series...it easily supports 1024p

  • yeah boy, you show us how you play bluray vid, congratz you prick the youtube vid is 360p

  • what happen? BluRay Rip 1080p not work on VLC, but 720p work ok : i have Nvidia 7800gtx, CPU pentiumD 3,4 ghz, monitor Samsung SyncMaster 2233 of VGA analog (not DVI) - 1920-1080 pixel ..

  • everyone: If you can't try 1080p on Vlc (which I can), try Movist. It should work.

  • Hi

do you rip blue-ray DVD ( convert it to mpeg file ) to stream out by VLC?

  • @arthurpzc I never Rip DVD to Mpeg, Only Bluray to Matroska.

  • Ive got a couple question lucascrem. I have the VLC player and multiple 1080/720 MKV. movie torrent files downloading. How can I tell if my computer/monitor can handle these pixels, also will it still play even if i dont have the right requirements?

  • @SWINESdimes If it looks smooth it runs, even if your monitor has a lower resolution then 1080p.

If your computer is very old, it will still run but you have a slow framerate and bad sound etc.

  • Hey I saw some of your vids online...

Quick question...after downloading the blu ray (1080 or 720p) quality torrents is it possible to play them on my mac? is there specific program you reccomend? would i be able to burn them to a blank blu ray disc if my buddys window computer had the capability to burn blu ray discs

    ? i would appreciate any help!!!thanks a ton!

  • @bsb8919 Most HD torrents are MKV media files, so they can run on every system.

But apple is an other story, apple only whats you to buy stuff from itunes or marketplace. Thats why everybody hates apple, exept people who are totaly legal ;)

Try Visual HUB to convert the mkv files......

Or install a windows virual machine on your mac.

  • @lucasrem Err... you can easily play .mkv files in OSX if you install VLC or play them in BOXEE or PLEX or XBMC. Its quite simple, really. You just need a fast enough PC, and a preferably 1080p display.

  • @bsb8919 most Bluray torrents are in MKV h264, ac3 format, Quicktime can play them. What is it that doesnt work? codec errors?

  • @lucasrem I got a 8913 code error, where do i need to go from here?

  • Comment removed

  • im new to this crap >.> and wanted to know how can i play a bluray on vlc?

  • I remoment K-Lite rather then VLC nowdays. I combine the K-Lite Mplayer2 with some free codecs K-lite x64, and a codec from PowerDVD too. But the K Lite install will guide you tough this proces, spdif/ Hdmi/ 7.1 config audo & config video settings.

  • Download a Movie or Video in 720p or 1080p

    Bluray Rips.

  • It was choppy as hell with VLC, but with Windows media player and the K-Lite codec, its work like a charm for Blue-Ray. Geez the quality is superb.

  • K-Lite is better nowfor playing MKV blurays, i know that allready too!

Use the ac3 output for Dolby 5.1 spdif outputt too!

  • I thought torrents were illegal?

  • Its legal to download and own them in most countries, dont start sites like the pirates bay . org, in most countries thas illegal. If your internet provider provides the service for it, why not?

  • Do I need a special program to download a torrent and does it work on a macintosh?

  • macintosh = fail

  • what makes you think I give a shit what you think?

  • damn, you need to get laid, ctfd

  • I say it again; what makes you think a care what you think! Oh, and by the way, I have both a PC and a Macintosh so stop posting junk. Don't bother posting back because I got better things to do then argue with a mindless idiot!

  • hey lucasrem... i downloaded a couple and they were in a mkv format. VLC plays it fine... but why?! I was hoping something that would integrate seamlessly into a media front end.

Do files on trackers usually not even have the menus and extras??

  • A BluRay Disk contains many tracks, like the main movie and other tracks like extra's. The tracks are containers with multiple audio tracks and stuff like subtitles. Most mkv files online have only one audio track and somtimes subtitles. But you can make a mkv file from a BluRay that cointains all the extra's like subtitles and multiple audio tracks in every language thats on the disk. Nobody made a menu structure for a mkv file from bluray but i guess its posible to make one.

  • yeah i gathered the mkv is just a container like an .avi file.

But what I dont get is alot of people use media centers and store their movies on hard drives. Why did people move away from ripping out the menu and extras like commentary? That doesn't take a huge extra space

  • re below. as in all the bluray releases I can find are in that container format with just the video. but there is still a ton of dvd copies that include all that stuff. hard drives are cheap like $120 for a terrabyte

  • You have to make a new stucture for the chapters and all, nobody take te effort. But mkv does support chapters. Some mkv do have all the extras. I have 2 BluRay copies of 20 GB that contain the hole BluRay disk.

  • when i tried playing a 1080p video on my computer using vlc it was choppy as hell. My specs are amd 64 athalon that gives me 2 ghz with an 8800 gtx nvidia graphics card. Any suggestions?

  • K-Lite Codec Pack and Mediaplayer? Your GPU and athalon64 can run this. But is your Screen 1080p, or does it have to play it on low res?

  • Are you saying that you can use Media Player Classic with K-Lite Codec Pack to play back Blu-Ray content on the hard drive? What about the issue of the encryption keys being periodically revoked? Do you need PowerDVD or WinDVD or is there a freeware solution to playing back Blu-Ray content on HDD?

  • Try the K-Lite Codec Pack, if you cant watch any stuff, try the mediaplayer that comes with this install.

    Who needs PowerDVD nowday?

If you think DRM encryption is a problem, thats allready been fixed.

  • Where can I download FULL HDTV movie torrents??

  • piratesbay org

    torrent portal

    etc

  • will vlc play them?

  • Mediaplayer2 or with other matroska players!

  • star wars ep2 is only in standard dvd not in hd-dvd or blu-ray so the images are not from of hd quality but, of course the best quality in a dvd because the film was recorded wutg digital camera

  • They are made for 4k Cinema, and also shown on tv in 1080i 60Hz (1080p 30Hz)

You must be new in 1080p land!

  • i repeat... there is no bluray version of ep2

  • 4K Digital Cinema is a new technology that is poised to spread in popularity in the movie industry. "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" was the first all-digital live action feature, no film was used in the creation of that film until film copies had to be made for theaters without Digital Cinema projectors.

  • yes i know that "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" was the first all-digital live action feature, no film was used in the creation of that film until film copies had to be made for theaters without Digital Cinema projectors. I know that but i mean star wars ep2 isn't in bluray.

  • For me Blue-Ray is an easy name for HD 1080p content on disk for compatible players, this is mp4 in 1080p, the online (blue ray) version for mp4 x.264 compatible players.

  • I cant help it that George Lucas doesnt have an internet connection, he thinks every jedi will wait, and have the Patience.

One day disks will be on shelfs............

  • i hope

  • Where Can I Find HD torrents ??

  • Pirate Bay, Torrentportal, or tjust Google for 1080p movies.

  • yeah if youve got ur pc connected to TV via hdmi or dvi then you get HIGH DEF Quality, its wicked !

  • DVI and HDMI are the same, connectors are able to exchange with a cheap cable for 15 euro or dollar, but then you loos the HDMI

    audio.

    HDMI on HDTV = 1920x1080 1080p in windows 60Hz

HDMI on Dolby 7.1 (Nvidia 98/780i or Ati)

  • lol only 667 views and 2 poor ratings LMAO

  • i posted this video to let people see what kinda torrents you can find on the net.

But on youtube its a waist besause nobody can see its the same quality as Blu-Ray disks.
