Duh-duh-daaa, duh-duh-daaa, etc. Why did they change that? That's such a cool part of the song. It's in 4/4 with the off-beat accents that make you think it's in some different time signature but it's not. That's such a genius part of the original, they really should have kept it.

I love orianthi, and this is my favorite song ever, this is the first song i told my guitar teacher i wanted to learn when i first started playing guitar. I am also not a fan of travis barker. There is no formula on have to make a good cover, but there are some things in a certain song you do not change! Look up Zappas cover, he makes jokes and sounds throughout the song but he doesn't touch the solo ( not the notes, although its played by his brass section).

There is no formula on have to make a good cover, but there are some things in a certain song you do not change! Look up Zappas cover, he makes jokes and sounds throughout the song but he doesn't touch the solo ( not the notes, although its played by his brass section).

@blabalkan Quite right. Experimenting with music is a good thing but some compositions cannot be messed with without making them worse. The lady has guitar talent in spades but that 'reinterpretation' of the solo, which would have been fine in and of itself, only serves to diminish the whole.

Terrible stuff... If she was not going to follow Jimi's take on it (which she should have with minor embellishments, because it doesn't get that much better than that solo for this song), at least she could have sit down and write something interesting, as opposed to ruining that part of the song with some worthless improvisation that says nothing at all.
