I see Dusty videos on youtube continue to gain in popularity. A younger generation is thirsty for unique talent and Dusty is where is at. Thanks for posting
A reminder that Dusty played a major role in bringing black artists and the Motown sound to the UK via her TV show. And she could sing those tunes like they were written for her. Mind, it took until 'Dusty in Memphis' before she had the sort of funky backing that would have made this sort of material sound even better.
Dusty sings the hell out of this song and proves you dont have to sound like a Ross knock off to deliver this song. This woman makes this song her own.Would it not be the best to have had Florence and her doing this as duet like diana and Florence on the original.Very few people know that They use Flo to fill out Diana version on this song, because she was a little light on delivery.Florence a lot of times sang just under Lady Di to round out her sound on recordings.
According to Google and the Devotedly Dusty website this track was performed on the It Must Be Dusty show for ITV in 1968, show no.1. Can't see it on any of her album lists, shame, because it's another classic, i wonder if ITV have any copies for video, DVD etc, if i hear anything about it i'll let you know.

Anything she chose to sing she sang with utter soul. It'd be a dream come true if this clip were ever formatted into a format compatible with CD.
