I had the opportunity to see the Count a couple of times back in the 60's when I was a karate student in another school. He was an obnoxious, foul mouthed jerk who had no respect for anyone.
He had an inflated ego and was not well liked by anyone other than other jerks like himself. We never heard of him competing at anytime during his reign as an instructor. He was nothing more than a thug , and he didn't last long in the martial arts after real instructors arrived in Chicago.
I remember Count Dante and his Dojo. He was very much a showman. If you read Bob Cooley's book you will get a better picture of this "The Count". I know he liked to hang around Rush Street in Chicago back in the '60's.

I have vids of them both with me in them taking evaluations.
