  • i really like this

  • This! Is! Just! Awesome... I would really like to describe my feelings about THIS but my low intelligence comment will have to do :-)

  • the scream gives me shivers every damn time

  • You will find me, if you want me, in the garden. Unless I'm too busy listening Einsturzende Neubauten, slowly wanking myself to sleep over the sound of his deliciously eery vocals.

  • Can anyone tell me the album this is off of?

  • @whgwcd strategies against architecture III

  • i haven't heard them since i was a kid... damn they were great

  • reminds me of the old 70s bowie videos, like "life on mars" and "be my wife",with just him and the white background

  • I hadn't got a clue what to expect when a friend linked me to this, but wow, this is amazing D:

  • me encantaría escuchar esta banda, pero necesito saber como se pronuncia el nombre en español, alguien podría decirme como se pronuncia? D:

  • @MARCEL0M0RA: si sabes leer el alfabeto fonetico, la pronuncia es esta:

    [ˈaɪnˌʃtʏɐtsəndə ˈnɔʏˌbaʊtən]

    :-)

  • @MARCEL0M0RA Eiensturzende Neubauten

  • I got recommened Einsturzende Neubauten by someone else who thought I might like this and their music. I've only heard a few songs including this and I like what I hear so far. This song especially to me seems packed full of feeling and emotion. Even though it's cryptic as to what it means I love it. Especially when the strings come in at 2:27. Absolutely beautiful. Could anyone recommend me an album to start on of theirs?

  • Everything after Ende Neu, which contains this track, is brilliant and superaccessible.

  • Though be forewarned, some of their best work is only in German...I learned that the hard way.

  • When I heard about this band last year he immediately became my hero.

  • When I heard about this band 15 years ago he immediately became my hero.

  • einsturzende = einstürzende

  • Where can I download this song?

  • Use Firefox with the Downloadhelper extension

  • I mean the mp3, not the video haha

  • I love Einsturzende Neubauten.

    I love Blixa Bargeld.

  • What is it with people and insulting videos.

and why must people instantly assume "Nazi" when a german is involved.

Alright, so this video will only appeal to a select ammount of people, most being Einsturzende Neubauten fans.

But there is absolutley no reason to say it's annoying, its shit, its a waste of time. Because it's not really.

    You came here

    You watched it

The only person you can blame is yourself

    I love Blixa Bargeld :)

  • You, sir, are and idiot

  • @decoCKY haters gonna hate!

  • Then don't listen to it!

    I personally love this song!

  • well the bottom line about this video and song is that within it's casual simplicity it emanates the besmirched chaos of liberated oppression and I FREAKIN LOVE this band

  • now where did you get such bullshit from?

  • No, it isn't correct. It is a wrong interpretation.

  • There's no such thing as a wrong interpretation.

  • Well "Neubauten" were buildings established after WW2, so destroying them during the second world war would have been difficult to say the least... now fuck off.

  • could you ban impolite words? vulgarity is mediocrity

  • A lot of art uses them to great effect though. First example that springs to mind is Nick Cave who Blixa has worked closely with.

  • it's not a reference to the nazis, though it is a reference to the swastika as used by the Tibetans. The four arms stand for the four rivers that flow from Lake Mansarovar, the holy lake at the base of Kailash: the Indus, the Sutlej, the Brahmaputra and the Karnali. Their waters fertilize the land in several countries of the region. Hence the swastika is a life-giving mark, i.e. "the spring of consciousness" that is mentioned after the banks of all 4 rivers.

    hope that clears it up.

  • Stupid americans only because EN are a german band they got to be nazis??

p.s Liebe den schrei am Ende, haha Bliixa is der beste

  • That's the kind of thing that makes me embarrassed to be American. There's people here that still assume Germans are like that, even after Obama's speech in Berlin was in endless political ads. Societies can change, and both Germans and Americans have proven that.

  • ist nicht jeder schrei von blixa gut investierte zeit?

    btw Blixa is der beste

  • Those strings comming on at est.2.40 frequently pops up in my dreams lately. I wonder what they mean?

On the other hand, please leave it there..

  • you will find me in the sarajevo, unless ...

  • Blixa looks Amish

  • lol

  • true, true.....

  • Simplemente entre lo excelsamente superior de EN

    Desde Lima, Peru

  • 'the garden' is one of my all-time favourite neubauten songs... well, that video is rather weird, but come on, the 'guy standing in front of white background doing stuff' not that unusual, actually. for instance, i am always reminded of this video when watching 'drop it like it's hot' by snoop dogg.

  • 'Guy standing in front of white background doing nothing...' Even better.

  • For 15 years EN have been my favorite, but even I have to admit that I don't like this video. That's not to say it's without its own peculiar artistic merit, of course. But I also think it's important to think critically and not blindly accept everything an artist produces just because of their reputation. Even the Beatles let Ringo sing from time to time.

  • I take you are not the minimalist type.

Neubaten has always had a odd style (to say the least) this is just another aspect of experimentation in their music.

It is a bit repetitive when heard alone, but when listening to the whole album I liked it. It such a simple message or even abeacon of sorts in a otherwise overwhelming wall of sound.

Great tune, almost perfect video, and of course a alltime great band.

  • Ugh, I hope that makes sense, I was trying to say: this song like a tranquil little segment in a otherwise utterly chaotic harsh sound they have, it is a bit odd for them, but they sometimes do make songs like this. Blixa never fails to be fascinatingly eccentric.

  • that`s why I adore this vid

  • "You will find me, if you want me, in the garden. Unless it's pouring down with rain."

    Simplicity is always best. :-)
