  • I'm gonna try this tommowow ^.^

  • awww, what alternative can i use to steaming? is a regular oven ok? i would really like to try them!

  • przejmujemy ten film

  • I'm always happy to see a western cooking/baking ingredient embraced in traditional eastern food. :) I love steamed rolls, and I make them often. I will try these. Thanks.

  • lol it's stuck to the bottom of the steamer tray

  • looks good yet i cant shake a feeling of suspicion when i look at them

  • @axelskull why suspicion though?

  • Could you also bake these in an oven?

  • is it really chocolatey though? :)

  • great chinese bread !

  • yummmmy

  • can you bake it? i think steaming is soggy looking :(

  • @briii96 BIG MAC is not soggy looking.and you can eat some

  • i've eaten something like that, but it was made by a friend. had cinamon and ginger in it, as well. DE-LI-CO-US!

  • what kind of yeast did you use?

  • i made those today, and it taste horrible :/ i have maybe done something wrong, but im 100 % that i have followed the recipe

  • how much is a cup ?? is it 1 dl or something

  • I followed the recipe and added sugar too, but it's just a sticky mess! Is it only 1/2 cup water each?

  • can i have the measurement in gm. thanks

  • ok i trying doing this and mine came out hard loll

  • you can put a plate in a metal bowl and put a bit of water. steam it

  • when did you add the sugar? ):

  • can we us an oven instead of a steamer

  • would this work as a regular bun without the choclate

  • @momolover00001 yes u can just dont add the cocao. Tradtion Mantou are just plain usually from the Nrth of china and is a subsittue for frice i think or eatten with soup

  • Thx this is simple n looks delicious!! I'm gonna ask my mom to take me n go buy the ingredients so I can make these sometimes :) thx again n I love CHOCOLATE!!

  • also~ hot chocolate powder is a good substitute for cocoa powder! just need to use a bit more to get the same dark color =)

  • i made the mistake of opening the lid immediately after 15 mins, and the buns ended up wrinkly... luckily i steamed in 2 batches, the 2nd batch i wait 5 mins before opening the lid and they turned out beautifully!

  • oh man i use to eat these as a kid :D

  • 请问妳的糖是一分为二还是各1/2杯?

  • Can u bake these? I don't have a steamer. Thank you!

  • @easychinesefood

Thank you it's really easy Chinese food . I tried it yesterday it was so good my husband liked it a lot. Chukran

  • Thank you so much for sharing! =D

I have one question though? the half cup of sugar that you can add, do you add 1/2 cup to both the chocolate mixed dough and regular? or just the chocolate?

  • Unbelievable. So cool.

  • is it 1 cup of water each bowl or what? :x

  • That looks delicious and healthy!!

    What a wonderful idea :D

    Such genius !

  • I just made this and am eating it now! Mmmmmm so delicious....On the video you forgot to add in the sugar in the bread. Its same as Man Tou.

Am going to make Char Sue Bao tomorrow..

Do you have the ingredients for Ying Yung Bao??? And Honey Bun ?

    Thanks you x

  • I made these today and they were delicious! They ended up being 3 times their original size after being steamed though!

  • @ayuinu exactly what ingredients did u use? i tried but my dough did not rise at all. pls help. i really want to try it.

  • @kmvoong719 did you use instant dry yeast? if you use regular yeast you have to put it in warm water to activate, while instant you can add it directly to the flour. Hope this helps!!

  • @ayuinu: thanks for getting back to me. i think it's rapid yeast that i used, my sister didn't label the bottle. not sure if that's the same as instant dry yeast. i will try to find the instant one and try this recipe again. did u use exactly two cups of flour and 1 cup of water? should the dough be more on the dry side or the wet side?

  • @kmvoong719 No problem I'm happy to help! If I remember right I measured out the one cup of water and poured a bit at a time while mixing with a fork until it makes a dough. The dough should be a bit in between wet and dry, if that makes sense.. You dont want it to sticky so it sticks to your hand but you want all the flour to bind together. I like to keep a little extra flour and water while making bread in case the recipe's measurements are a bit off! Good luck!! :)

  • @kmvoong719 p.s I think rapid and instant are the same..but check to see if you have instant

  • what type of flour did you use? Self-raising flour? Plain flour?

  • @xxpurplepassion88xx I guess should be self-raising.

  • When did you put in the sugar?

I also use 1 cup of water for each bowl.. but how come my dough is so wet and sticky?

Looks nothing like yours. Am I suppose to use less?

  • ive had these, and i strongly recommend putting sugar in them because theyre kind of bland, like A LOT of sugar :) and A LOT of cocoa powder too lol

  • Mmm there's a small Asian bakery down my street and I discovered their egg bread. Mmm may just eat the whole loaf myself

  • what type of yeast is that? instant? where does the sugar come in besides the end.

  • Oh, what kind of flour is used in here at the beginning?

  • So sugar i just an option on the recipe? You don't really need it?

  • great and much easier recipi ^^ Thank

  • Chinese bread is super than western bread because we use only two items, the pure flour and yeast--made by natural food bacteria culture only, and only these two items.

  • that is why Chinese want back comparing with burgers, :) except they live within some nice Chinese restaurants to maintain the health. :) Not looks like those round bodies around. :)

  • Is it parchment paper that you use underneath them in the steamer??

  • @oooMakeupJunkieooo I used wax paper, but I'm pretty sure you could use parchment paper too.

  • @EasyChineseFood hi, can i bake mine in the oven?

  • @EasyChineseFood: exactly what ingredients did u use? i tried but my dough did not rise at all. i really want to try it. did u use self rising or regular flour? rapid or regular yeast? pls help.
