The proper name for deflation of the beaver is called queve-ing. It can be somewhat embarassing.  Just kidding! I love trapping and all furbearers are great!

wow we use the same method to skin sheep in syria only you cut a notch in its leg and then blow in it with your mouth

@whitetailaddict pressure kind of varies, newts dont take a whole lot, beaver takes a little bit. What i did was just watch as the air moves under the hide. once the beaver is pretty tight you can push with your hand and move the air down the legs etc, then you may need to add a bit more air.

@vtad, i will make a video of post skinning when i have a chance. my son goes to college out of town so he does not get to trap much. I didnt do the skinning myself but he did say it makes a difference. On the nutria we noticed you had to be pretty careful airing them up, they have a thin gut lining and if we got to carried away it would pump their guts full of air. the beaver are a little hardier so we didnt seem to have that problem. i would imagine large game it would work very well.
