I loved listening to this but it was so sad! The first and seccond generation members seem happy to be on stage again with the rest of the members. Although, I hated hearing only Tsuji sing the W line. It was so sad! I wanted to hear Kago also~

It's true. The fanbase outside Japan is just too small, they are only starting to expand it into China now; 10 years after it started. And I dunno about the US, but here in the UK there ARE shops that sell Morning Musume singles, etc. Still... UFA doesn't see enough money in touring the US or Europe.

Miki did suggest to the agency that the next time Morning Musume came to Hawai'i, they should open the event to non-fanclub fans. That probably would have drawn several hundred additional fans — Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, Australians, who knows. But now that Miki is gone, I doubt it will ever happen. Aichan and Risa don't seem savvy enough to keep pushing for it.

Sadly, that's true. You don't notice Aibon so much because Rika, Yossie, and Nono look great together, but Aichan and Risa look so lonely, just the two of them there...

I really want her to sart a new career in America, but it wont be the same her going solo and I dont think she can speak English, but good luck to her any way

I read that in one of the wiki web, too. And there're other negative news about her comebacks, saying that she won't have a chance unless she goes for more "adult" direction...Well screw those who say that-_-'
She practically spend her teen years with musume & grow up in front of camera...rite now i can only wish her the best. God bless u, Aibon!

Aibon was backstage at this concert. She'd returned to Tokyo and was "on probation," working as a staffer for the agency while they planned her comeback.

That's oversimplifying it. Youth is highly valued in Japanese culture, to the point where they have several national holidays that do nothing but celebrate children and youth. So, as an aspect of youth, cuteness is also highly valued. *Some* people make that cuteness into a sexual fetish, and yes, the idol industry blurs the line, but you can't just say "cuteness equals sex."

are you serious? thats a lie...mad people in america like berryz koubou and c-ute and all the other group...its just not fair for people in america to suffer because they can go to there concert...it aint right. all 50 states of america at lease half the percent of the people who live in each state know and like h!p groups....and i think its because they dont sell any of those stuff about h!p in america so how can people in the u.s know about the H!P? thats just sad!!!

It's true. The fanbase outside Japan is just too small, they are only starting to expand it into China now; 10 years after it started. And I dunno about the US, but here in the UK there ARE shops that sell Morning Musume singles, etc. Still... UFA doesn't see enough money in touring the US or Europe.

Sure, Hello! Project has thousands of fans around the world, but we're spread too thinly to make touring profitable.
Miki did suggest to the agency that the next time Morning Musume came to Hawai'i, they should open the event to non-fanclub fans. That probably would have drawn several hundred additional fans — Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, Australians, who knows. But now that Miki is gone, I doubt it will ever happen. Aichan and Risa don't seem savvy enough to keep pushing for it.
