The production on the first album is terrible, it sounds far too tinny. If any album needs to be digitally re-mastered it`s that one. If they can do it with `The Sound Of The Smiths` iam sure they can do it with the debut which is far more important.

I think that Moz is a pompeous arse, as much as i love his voice and lyrics. I think that Andy and Mike deserve every right to the royalties. All of them contribute to the Smiths sound and it is not the same without either one. no wonder Moz don't sound the same while singing the Smiths songs in his shows.
On what actual basis did you come to the conclusion that Joyce is an ungrateful bastard ??? That he actually had the temerity to claim equal 'performing rights'...he was one of The Smiths and in my opinion got a fair share of the takings when they performed live.
I thought Morrissey was the one who looked like a twat when he claimed neither Joyce or Rourke were part of The Smiths and just hired hands.
Whilst Moz was wrong to basically claim mike and andy were session musicians, both morrissey and marr absolutley deserve/d more royalites on their records. Anyone who has been in a band can tell you that the hardest part is the songwriting which is what morrissey and marr did. Yes, joyce and rourke wrote some excellent parts for their instruments but at the end of the day the main melodic ideas, and musical imagination and direction of the band all stemmed from the 2 M's.
Besides the annoying animated/talking Moz, this is just awesome and brilliant stuff! I don't think I ever blnked during the live parts...very cool, indeed!
