i own an 05' prius, i test drove the CT today and i absolutely love it. so much more quieter (usually common in most of lexus cars). but theres definitely a sense of a much more stable handling. the prius is almost sporty but not enough. This ct which is 1.8 L compared to my prius of 1.5 L. barely any difference in mpg. ive been waiting for a lexus hatchback and hybrid. i think i definitely found it. i see the CT as a better investment than the prius because of its luxury.
what a nice car.....but why would they ruin it by only offering a hybrid version. Was exited about upgrading from my mazda3 until found out its only hybrid. Why couldnt they also offer a normal engine?
lol, go after the 1series? A 300hp car? WTF? Maybe in handling but even then, I wouldn't put numb steering past Lexus let alone Toyota. I'm partial on the looks, I think it has potential. The HS250h is obviously not working too well with lux buyers. Plus the Prius is such a dominate name and brand (or soon to be) it beats out its own cousins.
NOTHING in-common with a Pruis. Looks nothing like it.. interior looks nothing like the Pruis interior .. More sporty driving... Better built... more stylish it goes on and on. Only thing i see in common is their both hybrids. The Pruis is a good car dont get me wrong but they talk about the Pruis so much became annoying.
Nice car Lexus should make some F-Sport parts for it to enhance the driving/handling even more. ie ugraded brakes, lowering spring etc
As a Londoner, the only 'premium' alternatives that are London congestion charge exempt would be the Audi A3 1.6 diesel, VW Golf Bluemotion diesel and possibly the Mini 1.6d. While the Mini is too small, the Audi is getting very dated (even the 2011 refresh looks dated) and the Golfs engine is equally uninspiring. The Golf and A3 are middle class staples here in Blightey, the Lexus may prove to be a winner. Pack it full of kit, price it right with a discount and I'll have one in White thanks!
This is such a boring car, sure I wouldnt mind going green and I dont expect much out of performance in any of them but the CT200h has no athletism or character at all. Its probably one of the best offerings in the market i'll give them that but I'll just have to wait till Infiniti releases thier version of green. I heard Infiniti was coming out with the worlds first luxury all electric compact vehicle to compete against the 1 series and Audi A3. I'll just have to wait till then to compare.
