I beat Barret on Give me Deux Ex mode with 3 frag grenades.... easiest boss in the game. I guess that's why he was first.

I literally had no bullets left and nothing left to throw except one fire extinguiser and hardly any health, i threw it and ran away, as i did a cutscene started. By sheer luck i had killed him with a blind throw.

I just spammed EMP grenades and headshoted him with my 10mm and shotgun xD

Lol! This level sucked for me, because I only had a tazor and stun gun. I was like, "Is there anyway I could not face the boss?" Because I know you can avoid the "Bosses" in Deus Ex 1 by finding out their "kill code" or just simply running away.

@MAT0R0 Unfortunately, there's no way to flee from or sneak around bosses in Human Revolution. You're just going to have to do it the old fashion way.

If you're low on ammo, then try throwing the barrels at him until he dies.

Amazing game, horrible, horrible, boss fights. I felt like ripping my hair out, because I was playing a pacifist whose only weapons were either non-lethal or stuff I picked up to sell.

i took my stun gun and kept shocking, him then i finished him off with a grenade.

I used one EMP grenade, and one clip of my assault rifle, most of which hit him in the head. Did it in like 10 seconds on my 3rd try.

Got rid of him MGS style - with silenced handgun, a lot of running and taking cover. Reminds me of a fight with Ocelot from MGS :3

you can, theoretically, kill him bare handed and without augs. You just have to throw the gas cylinders and explosive barrels.

I stunned him with the stun gun and then 2 full clips of the shotgun took him down.

2 Stungun and then 2 mag of Combat Rifle to the face did the job for me

@UncleBetty32k i used two frag grenades and two of those gas canisters (thrown) that spawn to your right after the cutscene. that killed him fast.
