We've got a persistent squeak on the left pedal of the Vision Fitness when we put weight on the inside of the pedal that goes away if we put our feet towards the outside of the pedal. I tried this process with our left pedal using Ultra Slick multi-purpose synthetic grease, and it didn't result in any obvious change in the squeak on our pedal. Disappointed, because this sounded like a possible solution.
Hmm. I may yet have to take that back. This morning, something like 14 hours later, there doesn't seem to be a squeak. Perhaps the grease just needed a little time to work? I would have thought the friction would be enough to distribute it anywhere it needed to go, but there may be another factor.
I had the exact same squeak, also on the left side. Same deal, putting the left foot toward the outside edge of the pedal made it go away. I was also hopeful that the video solution would fix it but it didn't I tried some other things and it turned out that the squeak was in the "non-moving" joint where the pedal arm bolts to the wheel cylinder. I couldn't remove the arm but just "exercising" the nut & bolt fixed it. This is a hex head bolt under the plastic cover.
